Overall I enjoyed this hotel. The condition of the room were good (newer), the front desk staff was nice, and there was some walkability in the area. The downtown is a short drive. The negative was the obvious lack of housekeeping, when we checked in there was barely any toilet paper, no tissues, and it looked like the bed had only been made from the prior guest vs fresh sheets. We only stayed one night so not sure how it would played out with a longer stay.

Came during Labor Day weekend and paid $450 plus tax for a basement room with out a window- When we said all the photo of our rooms online had a window all they said was it’s assigned, The staff make it even worse by saying that hotel is sold out. we checked in around 5:45pm and at 6:27pm when I was scrolling online there’s still rooms being sold online (see screenshots below) so clearly there was rooms available and they just didn’t want to switch us. When we were checking in, we were the only Asians which made me feel like this was more of a discrimination issue, because first of all you had rooms, and second there was still people behind us waiting to check in This is so ridiculous, do not stay here, save you money and go else where unless your preference of a hotel room is one without a window, because if that is the case this hotel will get a 10 out of 10

We were really excited to stay at The Wick. The location is amazing if you’re coming by train. We had about a block walk to the hotel. The room was super big which we loved! The reason I give three stars is that I was really disappointed in the cleanliness. The hotel is very expensive and I do not think for the rate we paid we should have had so many dirt issues. In the photos you will see the top sheet has a ton of dirt, the comforter had a red stain, the shower had mold, and there was a hair in the bed that was not ours. Not pictured were one of the glasses for water they had still had lip stains on it, there was mold on the back of the sink, and another red stain by the door on the wall. If we didn’t have these cleanliness issues I would have been fine with the overpriced rate. Other than that, big spacious rooms and great location.

We booked about 2 weeks in advance on line. We were greeted by very friendly staff , given a room on the 3rd floor and when we asked about Covid regulations the manager told us that the hotel had an identical air filter system as the nearby hospital. The room was bright and quite pleasant but the surrounding environ was sadly only parking areas and absent of any Hudson Valley nature. There's a steep set of stairs at one end of the property that conveniently brings you within 3 minutes to Warren street where shops & restaurants are located. Reservations at The Wick do not include Breakfast , so on our first morning we ordered room service....the cheese & bacon omelet served on a brioche style bun was Excellent and the Granola with muesli & fresh fruit was satisfying...the prices extremely reasonable ! One evening the bar area behind the receptionist desk was virtually empty so we could sit mask free. The delightful Ms Em found the last apple in the kitchen for us and as well she whipped some cream by hand for an Irish Coffee. The entire staff was pleasant and helpful and there was always someone around if you had a question or needed help. One small security glitch was that the rear door to the parking area didn't close well and you could often get in & and out without using your room key-pass. Should we find ourselves once again in Hudson we would certainly consider staying here again.

We came here for the weekend and it was an interesting choice. Not the typical Marriott which was good. We had a room at the upper floor so I have no complaints, we slept well. It is sort of an uphill Trek to the center of town, but no more than ten minutes, no big deal. The town is very pretty. The service was excellent, I need to thank everyone, sorry did not get your names, you made us feel very welcome.
