Truly a lovely stay. Hudson was a lovely getaway-great restaurants and Olana was a terrific little historical visit seconds away. Rita's B&B is beautifully apportioned, but the superb treat is Chef Wendy's breakfasts. Delicate and tasty--great people chatting at breakfast with gorgeous mountain window view. (Many thanks to Melinda for helping me map out three morning runs too!) Great place~

Let me start by saying I have had the pleasure of staying in many lovely B&Bs and Mt. Merino Manor is just that. Situated high on a hill, this stately inn makes quite the impression, especially when the leaves of fall complete the Catskill landscape. Bedrooms are really quite beautiful and bathrooms extraordinary. All are clean and the views, breathtaking....

This sprawling old house was the home of the physician to painter Edward Church. Hard to imagine any modern family filling it - and so it has become a place for visitors to relax and use as a base for this lovely part of the country. The owner and hostess is absolutely charming and a great breakfast cook. Our room...

Pros Fairly close to NYC and accessible by train. A quick cab ride from the train station. If you prefer to drive, ample parking available. The staff were very friendly and helpful- offering to make dinner reservations for us shortly upon arrival. We stayed in the blue mountain room- perhaps the largest suite and certainly the most beautiful in the...

This B & B has everything. It is minutes away from Olana and just a few more to downtown Hudson and other attractions. Its peacefulness has much to do with its setting up a long driveway, away from the road. Our room, Diamond Street, was spacious and quiet. The bathroom was luxurious with jacuzzi and a separate marble shower. There...

Gorgeous rooms. Nice decor. Good food. A bit old fashioned for my taste. Large property with big lawn and chicken coop on site. Good service. Quiet and relaxing. Our room had a had jacuzzi tub. A bit far from town.

The room we had was palatial, with beautiful homely furnishings and an enormous bathroom. It is set well back from the road in its own grounds and is very peaceful. The breakfast was great too and the staff could not have been more helpful or friendlier. It is a few minutes' drive from Hudson, where there are lots of great...

Excellent location and unbelievably comfortable. We felt privileged and spoilt during our two days here. Superb breakfast, spacious room and amenities perfect. Very attentive staff who recommended and booked a local restaurant for us which turned out to be one of the best meals we had in NY State. Highly recommended Well done staff at MM.

We arrived at this inn after a day of visiting gardens and historic properties in the Hudson Valley. It was a hot day, but the inn was air-conditioned - only to the degree necessary to make it feel like it had been a perfect day! Attractive public spaces, but the dining room and bedroom were spectacular. Updated classics. Very clean...

Hudson is a nice town in the Hudson valley. Lots of things to do in town and around. Make sure you stay at Mount Merino Manor. The place is great : rooms, garden, friendly staff and ... GORGEOUS BREAKFAST. Day one we had blueberry pancakes and day two they served eggs on French toast. We recommend and we'll come again.
