We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff, especially Cynthia and Adolfo, were so helpful with any questions and restaurant recommendations! The location can’t be beat…easy to walk all over the center, and we never felt unsafe day or night! The facilities are clean and the rooms are large and comfortable. The rooftop terrace is great for enjoying a glass of wine. The hotel arranged airport pickup and a private car tour for us with Paco, who was fabulous! He was always ontime, full of great information and had nice cars…we highly recommend him! We would definitely stay here again on any future trips!

"Fawlty Hotel" it isn't but it is managed almost as poorly. Great potential - beautiful and spacious room. Flaws: 1. Service is sub par. 2. Breakfast is a whole ritual of sitting and getting asked and served one item at a time instead of having items in a Buffett style. The "menue" is limited and not generous. 3. Our room was serviced by a maid every day but always missed items - forgot toilet paper, water refills, tissues. I had to go to reception every day to correct this. 4. Toilet flushing wasn't reliable. Had to have maintenance come and take care of this issue twice. 5. Shower drainage also slow as well as difficult to adjust for correct temperature. As "icing on the cake" we decided to shorten our stay from seven to five nights. We inquired from the manager about a partial refund and were denied. We told him about our earlier departure after 2 days. 6. Hotel was mostly empty with more employees than guests. I have no idea why but during our stay we encountered only 2 other couples. All in all the stay was disappointing to say the least. It is a shame as the hotel is beautifully restored and we'll located next to the historic city center. Would not stay again at this establishment. Queretaro as a vacation location was very nice but probably Mexico has more to offer.

This is an old colonial big house (Casona) with amazing rooms. You can chose different sizes, ours was outstanding. We stayed at the Abasolo room and it was great. Jacuzzi at the side of the bed, very spacious, clean and just simply amazing. Towels and bathrobes were clean. The service was awesome, one of the best services we have had. We bought some wine, bread and cheese across the street and the hotel employee offered to bring it to the room. For sparkling wine we brought us a service stand with ice, wine glasses, etc. We were thrilled with the service. Spent some time in the roof terrace and had a great time. Afterwards we went to a lounge next to our room and the guy turned on the fountain and music for us. It was a great experience.

Like traditional Spanish Spanish homes of the well-to-do, this casona ("mansion") shows a plain face to the street, but is an architectural delight inside the gates. Our junior suite was right off the main courtyard, so we could hear the burbling of its fountain, and sit outside enjoying the many orange trees. We loved the art in the room and in the public areas. Although beautifully refurbished from its 16th-century construction, the architects had made sure that the amazing rock-filled walls were left uncovered in some places. We were there off-season, so the restaurant and bar were not open for business, but the complementary breakfast (delicious and hearty) was available in a smaller dining room. The staff was wonderful, always attentive and ready to help. Our only complaint was that the mattress was too hard. We highly recommend the Casona.

I stayed this hotel because of other hotels in central are not available that day. For those interested in experiencing the atmosphere of the historic beauty in central Queretaro, this hotel is exactly old world charm. However, I was disappointed by the not so clean condition of the towels they were grayish instead of white towels and bath robes are same condition. (Also there were only one hand towels and two bath towels. No extra towels) I found hair and staples on the sheets. And amenities was so poor. No hot water for coffee/ tea. No coffee maker. “breakfast” was pretty bad. I Never want go back this hotel.

Please, although you see this is a Boutique Hotel and the pictures could be very nice, AVOID STAY HERE!... please kindly consider that I’m a frequent traveler who really enjoy to stay in the very top Hotels of all the places that I visit. Well, in terms of this hotel, first, you’ll have to deal with a policy that do not allows to cancel a reservation with at least 7 days in advance, so, it will be up to you if you decide to take the risk or not... but once you get the Hotel, you will find a lot of “surprises”: 1. My room (which was not a cheap rate considering the Queretaro Downtown standard rates for this kind of hotels) had NOT WINDOWS!!! Room was so small and with no amenities, only 4 large walls around us.. when I asked for a change, employees offered me an upgrade with an extra cost of USD $80, considering I got the Hotel at 10 pm and no one will use the available room. 2. Towels: Only 2 are your quote and if you, as a woman, needs an additional one or if you have a child traveling with you (Already indicated in the reservation) an EXTRA CHARGE of USD $5.00 will be applied to your rate!!!... we always travel in a party of 3 and this is the FIRST TIME ever than I found this ridiculous rate into a 5* Hotel. 3. Wi Fi does not work. I don’t know if our 4 walls room blocked the WiFi to our room, but we cannot never be connected. 4. The Hotel has not a proper parking, you have to leave your car in a sister hotel, but the issue is that when we got the Hotel, all the Valet space was blocked and we had to leave the car one block ahead (after a new 9 minutes road to get the place again) and walk to find a solution. Client Service experience is rude, no additionall more to comment... they’re rude. If you read me, please, avoid this hotel... actually, Queretaro is not a big city and you don’t need to stay in the Downtown pedestrian area to get easily their Historic streets... go to a Hilton, Fiesta Americana or a global chain hotel although they’re not in the zero area and just take a 5-10 minutes Uber to get there...

This hotel was really amazing, the rooms where outstanding with a very nice taste of decoration, the bed was very comfortable and the stuff very helpful. It was a very nice touch that at reception they welcome you with some shot of tequila I makes it very unique The hotel it's in a very convenient part of downtown everything within walking distance About the restaurant this I will have to complain, the breakfast wasn't at the standards of the hotel, I would have expect much more from what they had, they can improve much more in this part! I would definitely come back to this place again and I do highly recommended it!

Great experience, unbelievable location, walking distance from restaurants and downtown. Very quiet despite being in the middle of downtown. Clean, great natural lights, high ceilings, very comfortable bed and pillows, great bathroom and jacuzzi. Staff is very friendly and efficient. One advice is to park just infront of the main door and wait. Staff will park for you at no extra cost!. High speed and reliable WIFI. I highly recommend!! Thank you for such a great time!

The restoring of the property is truly amazing, but it is not a professionally run hotel and certainly not a boutique hotel. You can notice this with the quality of the sheets, or the quality of the wine list, breakfast, etc. The decor is a mix of new fittings and some traditionally looking but cheap furniture. The jacuzzi worked, but the tile around was broken, as was the deck chair. This hotel is more a bed and breakfast in a great property. This wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the high-end chic hotel price. It feels that they need to charge you that much in order to recover the expensive restoration. Not surprised that I left with mixed feelings not knowing whether to return.
