North Luangwa River Lodge and Camp is located in North Luangwa National Park on the banks of the Luangwa River at the confluence of the Luangwa and Lutaba Rivers. The lodge has one of the most beautiful and expansive views of the Luangwa River as it meanders through the valley. Elephants, rhino, buffalo and hippos can all be seen around the lodge. It’s the only National Park in Zambia with the Big 5. Accommodation: We have four en-suite bungalows and 4 double rooms in Mandebu House. Each Bungalow has a private balcony facing the river. All the bungalows have been built on decks raised a few metres above the ground ensuring greater safety and magnificent views. They can be configured as doubles and singles and families and children are welcome. All the bungalows have en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets and lighting. There is also a 4 bedroom house for larger groups. The camp is powered by solar. You can relax on the beautiful lounge deck area watching the elephants crossing and other wildlife while enjoying a sundowner. Delicious home made meals are prepared by our chef and served by friendly experienced staff. Cold drinks, tea and coffee are available and fresh cakes and muffins are baked daily. North Luangwa is the home of walking safaris. We also have game drives, bird watching, or you can just relax on the deck watching the elephant and hippos in the river. It is truly one of the last wild and unspoilt places in Africa. For independent travellers and self drives we offer self catering and camping. Located in a private bush setting on the Luangwa River with a bush kitchen, toilet and shower. Meals and drinks can be organised if required.
