We were there in September. The action in the wildlife was really amazing. Lions hunting, dogs playing with Cubs, and the famous Olimba with her two Cubs. The chalets are a typical AFRICA Safari style, the staff in very familiar and friendly, the owner Ramon is always looking for perfection and the guide Masumba is very experienced guide and know how to anticipate to the action. Meals top top one !!!!
We had a great time there : anthentic chalets along the Luangwa river with hippos and crocs, beautiful views, very good food, a very kind, helpful and attentive staff. Our guide, Masumba is a very experimented guide, he knows a lot about wildlife. We learnt so many things with him, we saw a lot of animals night and day, even lion and leopard's cubs ! It is a luxury to stay here in the wild, far from the world...
For true nature lovers exclusively. Lions and hippos wander between the tents almost every night rocked by the screams of hyenas, roars of Lons or grunts of hippos. No generator to corrupt the sounds of the African night. Ramon and Masumba breathe wild life and are true enthusiasts. The staff is lovely too. Not to mention the game drive that Lions, wild dogs and leopards are visible almost every day (at least 2 out of 3 per day!). In short, lovers of luxury, Wi-Fi 24/24 or fresh drinks 24/24, go your way, this bush camp is not for you.
Best experience at Safari Explorers Camp in Zambia! It was a 10 days trip, with safari game drive at each morning and evening. I can’t express how amazed I was by watching the wildest animals in their natural environment! If you are thinking about planning a trip to Africa, this place is with not a doubt your best choice! It has the greatest location within the Park, best hosts, accommodation and delicious food, which makes it perfect to have a beautiful time while watching true wilderness! I was hosted by owner Ramon Díaz Bustamante, manager Masumba, and a amazing crew: Jack, Cosam, John Banda, Josephine, Blesing, John Nguni, Melvin, Raphael, Francis (chef), Juve and Banda. Their hospitality and great personality was the cherry on the cake! I feel totally privilege of having this experience! It was my first Safari ever and will definitely come back next year!…
I dont know why its not more popular. I find it in a guide, they wrote that its the best area in the South Luangwa. and it was true. Its not in the more commercial area in Mfuwe, you must go to the Nsefu sector, where the more exclusive lodges are and where the game is more abundant. The Camp has a waterhole and plenty of animals are coming to drink, its close to the bungalow number 6 and in fact you can see the animals from the toilet !!!!, i was in the night looking and i can see a Leopard and a big male Lion drinking !!!!, absolutely amazing. True me, this is a unique place in Africa.
