We stayed here once before in 2006, and returned for our anniversary again this year. We stayed in the Tuscany room both times. It is comfortable, romantic, and has a jacuzzi bath. We loved Tim's delicious breakfasts on the porch, watching the hummingbirds. We actually preferred the later breakfast times, as all the other B and B's we'd looked at...

Stayed at the Highland Manor with my wife over this past weekend. Overall, a very nice experience. We escaped from the city to get some peace and quiet, and reconnect with nature - Tim's B&B was perfect for this. Tim was a nice, accommodating and helpful host, who is also a fantastic cook - the breakfast were really delicious. The...

My wife and I spent 2 nights in Highland Manor. The Manor truly IS a hidden gem--the surroundings are serene, the grounds are beautiful and kept in pristine condition, the house and the rooms are lovely. Our room (Garden Room) was huge, very comfortable and well-furnished, (though the bed was a bit too soft for me), with an idyllic view...

My wife and I had no choice to go with this B and B. Unfortunately, we had selected college graduation weekend in upstate, NY to travel. All other viable B and Bs were booked solid for miles around. It was either the Highland Manor or the Motel 8. We should have gone with the Motel 8. I was weary after...

Due to the poor health and limited mobility of a family member, I had to cancel reservations--well before the required 14 days prior to arrival. The cancellation policy on our confirmation letter said, "deposit returned if cancellation is received fourteen days prior to arrival, minus $20 processing fee." The proprietor charged against our deposit TWO $20 processing fees, saying a...

I'm a SUNY New Paltz graduate and was returning for a visit after having left 14 years ago. The B & Bs that I found online with a New Paltz address were in the $200s per night, an amount I wasn't willing to pay - at least not during the month of April. I remembered that Highland was about a...

We've stayed at Highland Manor at least 5 times in the last 4 years.. We love it up there. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is delicious and the Owner (Tim) is a really nice guy. You get greeted by his two dogs when you arrive (really sweet). We've visited in the Winter months and in the Spring and Fall.....

We booked this B&B after deciding that a getaway weekend out of NYC was much needed. Tim's Highland Manor was wonderful from the very minute we arrived. The room was stunning (Tuscan room), as were the grounds. Even the dogs make you feel right at home. Breakfast may have been one of the greatest highlights of the trip - homemade...

We wanted an inn near the attractions of Hyde Park, but didn't want the higher rates associated with the B & Bs across the river. So I chose this place. The location is a plus for some, but not terribly close to anything of convenience, so if you want a shop next door, this place is not for you. However,...

“Depends... Privacy is best on the 1st floor, but the upstairs have whirlpools and fireplaces. It really depends on how much time you plan on spending at the Inn. Our room on the first floor was large and very clean, easier in and out too.”
