My husband and I came back to celebrate our anniversary weekend in January. We have been here a few times before in different seasons and we really enjoy the view of the mountain stream and falls from the cozy room. Our favorite room has a vaulted ceiling, a four-poster bed, comfortable bed and and chairs for relaxing. Our charming hostess...

I recently had a three-night stay here and had a lovely time. I stayed in the Waterfall Room (first floor, ba off the hallway, least expensive room). The room was very cozy with the electric fireplace --made for a nice experience. I also loved the babbling brook running through the rear of the property. The breakfasts were amazing --first day:...

Most of the rooms are located at the barn, which is pretty neat and unique. However, if you are on the second floor bear in mind that carrying the suitcase is not an easy task, given the narrow staircase. They do have a balcony to the river, which is beautiful. The rooms were decorated to taste, and complemented the rustic...

this B&B was off the beaten path on a beautiful property. It is about 30 minutes from Hyde park area, but a nice ride, especially in the fall with all the colors of the trees. Must be really nice in the summer to walk around the creek and be outside etc. I have to say it is a little run...

Good visit, but not great. Nice people running the B & B, many areas of constructive criticism required. 1.shouldn't have to ask for clean towel each day. 2. room had multiple areas of "maintenance required". These included air conditioning filter, extension cords for wiring, electrical plugs not secured to the wall. 3. outside chairs loaded with mold. Put off from...

We have happy guests....The price of this guests room was $190..not 250. As you can see from all my other reviews.. my guests love the Inn..some people just need to complain. :)

We had a lovely stay at Captain Schoonmaker's - our room was beautiful, as were the barn and house. Delicious breakfast. Excellent location. The bed was extremely comfortable, perfect after a day hiking and swimming in gorgeous swimming holes. Don't miss the amazing food at Depuy Canal house.

A clean, cozy, quiet oasis hidden in the valley. Delicious breakfast. I had no problem with no choice, but I wondered about others with dairy issues. Our room was very clean. Small building, so voices carried when in hall. But nothing a little whispering couldn't fix. Engaging and helpful host. Location perfect. We'll be back.

We travel from the west coast and this is the third time we have stayed here. It is always a treat. The grounds are beautiful with a creek flowing through, beds are very comfortable, breakfast is delicious and Robyn the owner is absolutely delightful. Captain Schoonmaker's has real charm and history. Looking forward to our next visit. It's a wonderful...

My husband and I enjoyed are stay with our host Robyn and her pups. The inn is serene and has great settings. We had a last minute issue with our drivers license renewal but Robyn was great at giving us directions as to how to get to the Inn without a car. Great breakfast experience and a very relaxing break...
