This hotel is in a quiet location just north east of the Catskills in farm country giving a beautiful view of the mountains. There used to be plenty of these Irish resorts in this area, now there only a couple left. I,m happy to see that this one has survived. Thanks to friendly family who still owns this resort. Great...

The person who wrote "Seen better days" had made a couple lies in their review.Them and the owner are not to good of friends.The last 23 years we have owned the Kilcar no one has complained. I'm at the Kilcar three days a week and I always see people happy.

The visible wear and tear on this run-down hotel could have been forgiven if had been cleaner. Much cleaner. Although the bathroom fixtures did appear to be clean, there were little bits of paper on the floor. The rugs in the room were quite dirty, and there were some dark, greasy smears - I was afraid to imagine what they...
