check in quick, rooms very clean, beds comfortable, cookies, and cup cakes a treat in the lobby. I liked the rockers outside. TV was out dated in room I had. Others had flat screens, Staff were friendly.

As the name suggests, this inn is modelled in the Arts & Craft period and entirely furnished with Stickley. The inn is a bit tired but seeing and using these exquisite pieces of furniture was truly a treat. Go to the nearby Stickley Museum and taking a tour of the Stickley manufacturing facility will give you true appreciation for real...

I spent the night at the Craftsman Inn this week, and it was a good night. I had a king traditional room, and it was furnished with a rocking chair as well as an upholstered chair. The upholstered chair had some problems – someone good with a needle and thread could actually have fixed them easily. I don't think the...

This was my second stay in less than a month. The hotel is a perfect location, close to family, shopping & Wegmans. I was attending a family wedding plus I was also the florist for the wedding. The hotel was kind enough to provide me with a place to work for the two days prior to the event and store...

The lobby is pretty, but I should have dropped my expectations at the front door, with its broken concrete lip. Room s are old and tired. Old could be quaint with the classic Stickly furniture. But the room was also dirty. Everything needed dusting. I found a used bandaid on the rug. Even the towels had stains on them. Used...

Very nice hotel, but there was an issue where the second night of a two night stay was almost lost at registration. The staff fixed it... but the cause seemed to be a manual ... not electronic .... connection between the reservation service and the hotel

We were 3 people in a suite, which was on our reservation for 2 day weekend trip for a family function. No blanket (had to ask for one) for the pull out sofa, at least there were sheets. They never came to make up our room and never received clean towels after repeated asks. We ended up having to go...

Thank you for communication regarding your experience here at the Craftsman. In reading your comments, this has allowed us to implement some new practices regarding the sofa beds and blankets for our future guests. Recently, we have extracted and deep cleaned all the hallway carpets for a brighter, more fresh feel. We strive for our guests experience to exceed any...

HS reunion, and my request to have a few buddies nearby was met, as we all were in a row. Very quiet, ultra clean, with very nice staff. All the furniture is Stickley, craftman style, since the factory is in the same town, can't get any better than that. Nice touch is a tray of fresh baked cookies every afternoon...

We had to be in Dewitt for an event and discovered this hotel when searching online for a nearby facility. What a pleasant surprise! We loved everything about the hotel, including our meal at the Limestone Restaurant next door. The layout made the experience seem more like a getaway or retreat -- not the usual cookie cutter type hotel chain....

Pleasant and comfortable rooms and common areas. Stickley-style furniture throughout. Room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Door trim was worn in places and could use some touch-up. Windows opened wide, a nice feature in my book. The refrigerator was not in the cabinet where the one it replaced - the empty fridge cabinet was a defect in an otherwise...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The American Arts and Crafts Movement blossomed at the turn of the 20th century on the tree lined streets of peaceful villages in upstate New York. The movement was a personal and architectural revolt against the ornateness of the Victorian style. This Movement sparked a period of design characterized by simplicity, honestly and integrity. Here in Fayetteville, Leopold and John George Stickley created Arts and Crafts furniture using innovative construction techniques which have endured as hallmarks of the Movement. The Craftsman Inn is dedicated to these Craftsman ideals. Look around, the designs that inspire the building, the chairs and tables, the lighting and pictures, all evoke that ideal. Our Limestone Grille was launched in 2008 as the heir to our more stately Craftsman House. The Limestone reflects the 21st century evolution of these concepts as once again a desire for a simpler, truer, more authentic approach becomes prevalent. Our dining room and lounge reflect clean, Mission style design but with warm colors, classic furnishings, and contemporary appointments. Our service staff and bartenders provide friendly yet attentive service, knowledgeable without being presumptuous, helping to create the sense of relaxed comfort we all seem to miss so much of the time. That end result is what inspires us to do the best we can. ... more   less
