I have been going to Covewood Lodge since the mid 70s, I find it to be a little piece of heaven on earth. I always stay in the housekeeping cabins, but greatly admire the main lodge. They have maintained the wonderful rustic charm of the cabins that have been modernized with conveniences like complete kitchens & bathrooms. I LOVE the...

Covewood is not a place for people expecting a typical resort experience. So if you are looking for the Hilton, Club Med, or Sandels, you best not reserve time. However, if you are looking for a peaceful, rustic (they are called CABINS after all) family experience, where you don't have to blow dry your hair, put on your make up...

I made the HUGE mistake of assuming that the pictures on the beautiful Covewood website were giving me the general idea of what all the cottages looked like. NOPE! Not even close! I have to wonder if those pictures were taken there at all. I had just worked all day and then drove for 5 hours and was in desperate...

This client had been advised before making the reservation that the cottage was meant for "2 very friendly people", that it was small and was directed to the pictures on the website. These folks stayed for 3 days, refused all trash pick-up, never lodged a complaint and walked out without paying or saying word. Had they come to us there...

We will return to Covewood this summer for our 2nd season. We discovered this treasure last year when we looked for a rental that could accomodate a group of 10--three generations. Covewood provided the absolute perfect solution....4 hours of day camp each day, Big Moose Lake at our doorstep,.boating, sandy beach, hiking, evening campfire activities and rustic lodge and cabins. It's a trip back in time; when you had nothing to worry about but which bathing suit was dry. We stayed in the main lodge as we booked late and all cabins were sold out. Being we could only stay for two nights, it was the best location for us anyway. Our group consisted of 4 women ages 40-60, no...

Covewood Lodge is a beautiful rustic, but still comfy, Adirondack lodge right on Big Moose Lake, with so many classy traditions. You can stay in the lodge or rent an apartment (bring you own sheets and towels.) All guests have full access to the children''s beach, large series of docks, boat, canoe, kayak, sailboat rental, waterskiing lessons, tennis courts, and...

My son and I visited Covewood Lodge for 3 days staying in their smallest one room cabin which was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The owners Major and Di went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of even though the resort did not open for a week we had the run...

We just finished our 18th summer at Covewood and we're already counting down the weeks till our return. My parents took me to Covewood as a kid, and my wife and I continued the tradition starting in 1992 -- and we've extended it to our inlaws and nephews! One of the best parts are the friendships with the families in...

I discovered Covewood on Big Moose Lake in the mid-80's. Took our children and their friends back summer after summer and now my children and their children return summer after summer with their friends and children. Year after year our kids who were adolescents for several of those years never wanted to leave. No telephone, TV or radio or cellphones...
