A couple of friend's and I stayed here last weekend. The rooms were clean, air-conditioned, and decently sized. The lake was awesome, very short walk from the rooms not on the lake side. They had free kayaks available and a fire pit. The location was perfect, 10 mins from town, and the staff was very nice. We want to make...

The rooms were clean but dated. Too much notty pine. Shower like a small phone booth. Nice beach area. Each unit has a BBQ and picknic bench. Beach units were better than all other units. Adequate parking. Carpets could be cleaner. Close to convenient stores and restaurants. Forest Hill Trading Company for coffee and bagels. Lone Bull for full breakfasts.

Booked 2 nights at this resort but only ended up staying 1. The grounds were great. The beach and lakefront were incredible but the rooms were too dated and worn out for our liking. The rates were reasonable for the area and season but still expected a little more room cleanliness for the money. We ended up staying at our...

We have been up to the Lake George area for the last ten years and this is our first time at Golden Sands. The room was very clean and well equipped. Being so close to the lake was the best part. Opening our curtains and watching sunrise on the lake from bed was a luxury. Every room has two new...

The room we stayed in, although small, was very clean and comfortable. However, the shower was a bit of a joke in that it was so small you could hardly even turn around in it. (The water pressure was more than adequate though.) Very family oriented with a lot of nice folks around. WiFi was excellent and speedy. Beach access...

The rooms are moderately outdated and it is not a 5 star hotel but it is great for people who want to do activities or relax on the beach. The private beach, picnic tables, grills, fire pit, and free kayaks makes things so much easier. The location is great. The village is not far and there are plenty of restaurants and...

Just a few miles north of the cordwood and noisy Village of Lake George this gem has its own private beach with free unlimited kayak use. Bob is as friendly as helpful as can be with restaurant and activities suggestions. With prices this reasonable, do not expect fancy or luxurious rooms, but they are clean comfortable and quiet.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Bob the owner/operator was very nice to us and very knowledgable of the Lake George Area. The hotel is right on lake George with the lake in back for guest to enjoy. The rooms were very nice and cozy with a lodge type feel to it and were excellent. The resort...

I have been going to LG for decades since a teenager. Am very picky about staying along the Lake . We usually island camp or hit Hearthstone / Rogers Rock st campgrounds. If we go ' decadent ' its an easy night or two in a lodge or motel. The lodging has to have the right feel. By that I mean...

The room we had was located on the upper part of the resort and right next to the road, so it is very noisy at night. I have stayed in the waterfront rooms and they are much better and worth the extra cost and also a better view. The room was very clean and the beach is very nice and...
