After several tries at different B&Bs in town and in surrounding towns since the 1990s, Rose & Thistle is a place we'll return to. Patti and Steve are super-friendly but not in your face. Group breakfasts (single-seating) are tasty and offer a chance to meet fellow vacationers with similar interests. I felt at home reading and watching TV in the... More

Stayed here for four nights recently while attending the Glimmerglass Opera Festival and visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame. Great spot with great breakfasts by Steve! For Hostess Patti nothing is too much. Whether it's restaurant suggestions and reservations or arranging for the AAA to fix a flat tire.....she does it all.

Patti and Steve are most welcoming, providing invaluable recommendations for sights to see, places to go and must "visits"! Their hospitable nature makes them excellent hosts and the breakfasts are not to be missed. The room was lovely, extrememely clean and accomodating. We will return!

Hosts Patti and Steve are welcoming, informative and a joy to be around. Breakfast is wonderful as are the rooms. Location is perfect for nice short .8 mile walk to center of town. Cooperstown has a lot to offer other than the hall. We will return to Rose and Thisle.

My brother and I arrived for Hall of Fame Induction Weekend. Patti and Steve welcomed us, after 5 minutes we felt like old friends. After one hour, we felt like family! They were gracious, informative and really went out of their way to make our stay most enjoyable. I would stay there again without hesitation! Breakfast was fantastic each morning,... More

Came with my two young daughters and couldn't be happier. For the record I usually stay in hotels so I was not accustomed to the B&B experience. Steve and Patti are terrific, helpful, know the area, never intrusive. Breakfasts were copious, varied, excellent, and filling. Finally, should it matter there is a good bar just down the road within walking... More

Our family was in town for a special wedding, that made for a busy time. We had a wonderful time staying with Patti and Steve! Good conversations, good food and a wonderful porch to relax on between the activities.

We stayed at Rose and Thistle B&B July 1 and 2, 2012. We picked this B&B from the many we considered based on the rave reviews we read on line. We were not disappointed. Patti and Steve were fantastic hosts and helped us with information about the town, the Hall of Fame and the surrounding area attractions. The accommodations we... More

We stayed at the Rose and Thistle due to the fine reviews and were not disappointed. The property was clean and inviting. Patti was a terrific hostess and Steve's breakfasts were a highlight. Thank you rude woman from Saks. (Ask Patti about that reference.)
