On the plus side, we were made to feel very welcome by the owner, who gave us a nice overview of the town, the attractions and where to eat. We also enjoyed having an early-morning coffee on the veranda. There were a few problems: 1) an old, small, soft and very squeaky bed, which meant we hardly slept at all;...

As soon as we set foot in The Rose & Thistle it felt like home. Patti & Steve are funny, friendly & kind. Our room, Sara's Room, was comfortable, clean, large & our own slice of heaven. The breakfasts we had were incredible & the other guests were friendly & conversations flowed. We had a great time in Cooperstown &...

Our group of four had a great time at the Rose & Thistle. Great food, great rooms and easy access to the center of town. Parking was also very convenient. We all had fun talking with Patti and Steve as well as getting advice on restaurants and what to see. Beautiful area.

Pros: Nice owners, comfy porch to sit on, good location, 2 restaurants few steps away. Cons: Room small, very dated, no flexibility on breakfast time (8.30) if leaving early. Cooperstown mostly geared up for Baseball Hall of Fame.

Delightful experience staying in "Sara's Room" on top floor of Victorian house! Charming and cozy. B&B within walking distance to Baseball Hall of Fame. Steve and Patti are the ultimate host/hostess and very helpful with suggestions of attractions/restaurants in the area. They make you feel so welcome and at home. Steve's breakfasts are great and Patti's vivacious personality and sense...

The Rose and Thistle is a wonderful Victorian within walking distance of downtown Cooperstown. Nicely decorated and very comfy and homey. The proprietors Steve and Patty are warm, welcoming and wonderful hosts- I didn't want to leave! Steve's breakfasts are terrific and Patty's humour is fabulous!

We generally enjoyed our stay. Property is appealing inside and out. Great breakfast with plenty of variety. Hostess very knowledgeable about local restaurants and lesser known attractions. We had two issues: Venue's own website does not make it clear your "private bathroom" may actually be outside your room and down the hall. There is constant traffic noise, especially in the...

We spent four nights at this lovely B & B while attending the Glimmerglass Festival, visiting the Fennimore Museum, and touring Cooperstown. The B & B is within walking distance of everything in the town and within easy drives to the surroundings. The hostess Patti was a great help in providing suggestions, directions, and recommendations. Breakfasts were prepared by her...

We had a lovely time at the B&B. A wonderful quiet and relaxing getaway was made perfect by the hosts and ambiance at the Rose & Thistle. Patti joined us to watch the game and was kind enough to make me tea. We look forward to going back one day. Thank you again!
