Visiting Erie, we were encouraged to visit the park. On a cold blustery day we my two daughters and I got in our rental and took off. What a pleasant visit. The bare trees touched by snow loverlooing the lake. This picturesque place is a must see.

We spent a long weekend at the end of August and enjoyed the park. It was an extremely HOT weekend and our little trailer does not have air but there was a bit of a breeze off the lake. There are a few lakefront sites but I am sure these are booked well in advance. The sites are a good...

Camping along the Lake Erie shore at its best. The sites are large and grassy. Only a few are right on the lake. Most sites have electric service. Site 19 is 20 amps, also has lots of berries all over the site. Water is available at different spots in the campground marked by blue posts. There are cabins are older...

State park located on the shore of Lake Erie. Has a campground with gravel spacious sites. Some having views of the lake. Great place to enjoy watching the sunset over the lake. Sites have electric. Fresh water is available to fill your tank. The swimming area rocky and closed when we visited. Bathrooms and showers need worked on. We enjoyed...

We stopped at this state park for a picnic with view of the lake. It's not at all spectacular--the lake looks better (bluer) from a distance. The entrance fee is $7--fair enough if you plan on staying a long time. You can bathe in the lake and kids seemed to be enjoying that. There is a lifeguard.

We tent camped in the non-electric sites. The area is small, and the campsites are decent. No bushes between sites, but the sites around the outer loops back up into the woods and are nice. There are only two showers in the non-electric tent area per bathroom, and they are pretty rough looking. The water is hot and has great...

I love the Great Lakes area especially Lake Erie. Marblehead lighthouse which is open now daily and people can climb the 66 steps to the top for $3. The lighthouse keepers house is historic and fun the lighthouse and property is a state of Ohio park now. Kelly's island is a beautiful place to relax n have a drink or...

The paths were muddy (and we weren't smart enough to wear boots), there are tick warnings up, but Lake Erie was gorgeous and someone was rehearsing for their wedding (I assume tomorrow). I think later in the season or with less rain, it would have been much more enjoyable.

Cabin 7 is definitely is situated the best, but we are happy to take any cabins for our annual August pilgrimage to this park. The whole region is so laid back, a welcome break from our hectic New York lives. Collecting pebbles on the beach here, has become lately a favorite activity of mine. As a drive around back country...

In my opinion, Lake Erie State Park is perfect after Labor Day, especially on week days. There are fewer people and thus more distance between you and a neighbor. Since there are issues with swimming, this time of the year affords you the pleasure of sitting outside listening to the water, watching the birds overhead, feeling the breeze from the...
