We attended a wedding at Onteora this past weekend and were there for both the Rehearsal Dinner on Friday night as well as the wedding on Saturday. We didn't stay at the Inn (however the wedding party did and said it was lovely), but got to see a fair amount of the grounds and buildings. The views are spectacular, the...

We spent a night in The Overlook about 10 days ago and while everything was as advertised, the room was in need of repair. I cannot speak about any other rooms but windows did not function, some of the window shades were broken, and generally, it seemed a bit dated and in need of some upkeep. The grounds as well...

We visited this fantastic place for 4 nights - the room had views "to die for" both from just laying on the bed or soaking in the bath. We spent hours just sitting on the decking watching the wildlife and the mountains. Perfect if you love for peace and quiet together with amazing scenery . Had some lovely breakfasts too.

This was a location for a wedding and it was nearly perfect for a wedding of 100-150. The outdoor seating area for weddings is breathtaking and a perfect backdrop for pictures. The indoor rooms worked well for bride and groom preparations as well as family gathering before the event. The reception area, again, was beautiful. Lends itself to great decorations...

I had my wedding at Onteora in the early summer of 2015. We chose Onteora because of the obvious natural beauty of the area—the stunning views are just incomparable. We were also encouraged by the fact that the facility provided a caterer and necessities such as tables/chairs set-up. Also, the rooms in the B&B were fantastic—it made us and our...

My wife and I stayed at The Onteora Mountain House for the second year in a row as our wedding anniversary getaway. Last year (2014) being our tenth we wanted to do something special so we booked one of the cottage,"The Overlook" which is seperate from the main house and actually built right into the mountain. The cottage consist of...

We had our wedding here and we after all was said and done, we would not have changed a single thing about the day. Most of that goes to Bob and Jeremy and the staff at Onteora. They make weddings and hospitality look easy! They really take the time to get to know their guests, and it shows in how...

I have now been to my second wedding at Onteora-it has been seriously upgraded since 2002 to include glass-enclosed indoor banquet rooms that blend in with the pine trees and unbelievable mountain vistas. The food was good but the main course portions were Euro-sized at best. The apps were excellent as were the wines. You cannot find many better outdoor...

I just attended a wedding and stayed at the Mountain House. The views were beautiful, grounds were nice, food and staff was excellent. I will agree with the other review where the owner wasn't the friendliest but the staff made up for him. The Overlook room was nice and big. The jacuzzi tub was nice. Carrying your luggage up there...

Very unobtrusive B&B in a beautiful setting. We were lucky and booked a rare weekend when there was not a wedding party staying. We stayed during summer and enjoyed our own snacks and beer on the deck overlooking the beautiful valley in the evening. We had Montbaccus and North Dome rooms. Montbaccus was the newer and definitely highly recommended. The...
