We stayed at this stunning hotel for a weekend break in November. Despite having looked at photos on line we were still both in awe at the beauty of the house and sense of arrival. We arrived late and were greeted at the car with a personal welcome. Shown to our room and introduc

We are always pleased to learn from guests, and welcome constructive and helpful comments that will assist us in improving standards where possible. We are really sorry if these guests that have visited Hartwell before, did not enjoy their visit. Merlin Waterson, architectural historian and author on heritage subjects recently wrote, “Hartwell is very different from most fashionable, luxury hotels. As a guest, it feels as though one is visiting a beautifully maintained private house which reveals its history in scores of subtle ways, through the architecture of different periods, the decoration and the pictures, many of which are relevant to the story of the house.”

Hi, Roger. Could you tell me if the pool is warm? This is a big deal for us as my wife has back problems and swimming is a priority, but cold water has an adverse effect on her. Appreciate your help. Alan.
Water was definitively nice and warm!

Is it best to make reservations with Hartwell House directly or by Trup Advisors, Bookings etc.? When checking with Hartwell House you pay upon departure, cancellation is 48 hours, no charge. Thanks for any suggestions as it only has so many rooms and we don't want to miss staying there.
We have been lots of times, and we always book direct.

Thank you much for address my questions..phillip
I have not stayed at this hotel as we only live 5 miles away. Only eaten there. Will you have a car as its outside of town. I would say around 3 miles from the train station but taxi's are available.
