Our first time to Zarafa - we have substantial experience in Botswana - Zarafa deserves its high rank. The food and service stand out in particular. The proximity of great game viewing as well as very well kitted game drive vehicles made the game drives exceptional. The game drive breakfast was very well done as well. Hats off also to...

We just left Zarafa after spending three nights at this magnificent camp! Loved the variety of wildlife from antelope, wild dogs, zebra, giraffes, loads of elephants and a very large pride of lions! Zaraza has though of everything, excellent breakfast while out watching the animals, complete with fruit, yogurt, eggs, toast, biscuits, coffee and tea! The chef (Pierre) is excellent....

Frank and Rueben, coupled with the unbelievable setting at Dhow house, were the favorite of both teenagers and adults on the trip. The back deck was situated overlooking flats with water and home to hippos, elephants, Impala--basically you felt like you were living in a Mutual of Omaha special. Frank, the manager, was just so cool. I wish I could...

My wife and I just finished a visit to Zarafa Camp and can not say enough about the experience. Willem and his team make you feel you are staying in a home not a resort lodge. Everything is highly personalized and tailored to your preference. The people are wonderful and the game very diverse. Our guide Lets showed us so...

Thank you so much for taking the time to review Zarafa Camp. We're thrilled that you enjoyed your time with Lets, seeing two leopards is indeed a special sighting! As i stood in the shower looking out the window of our unbelievale room/ tent in zarafa dhow an elephant appeared 5 feet from me. I called to my wife and 2 sons. They never came to look. Instead they stood in the front dooway watching as another elephant strolled 8 to 10 feet from them. The elephants were our...

Thank you so much for sharing your special experience! This time of year the elephants are often in and around camp, and since there are no fences around, you truly get to experience the wildlife on your doorstep (or from your shower)! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at the completely exclusive Zarafa Dhow Suite, a separate family...

OK...many camps are pretty nice but not many are as special as Zarafa. It's small with only 4 tents and hence you feel like a VIP. The good news is that's exactly how you're treated. The management and staff couldn't be nicer. The food (thank you Pierre) is among the best we've eaten in Africa. The "tent" is enormous and...

Thank you for your lovely review! It was an absolute pleasure hosting you and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with others. The winter months between May and August are excellent for game viewing and temperatures are chilly at night and early in the morning. It sounds like you did an amazing trip of Botswana and South Africa! What a lovely compliment to have you end it off with beautiful Zarafa. The lagoon in front of the camp attracts a lot of wildlife and especially elephants. One can easily just relax and enjoy the "entertainment" from your private lounge or on the daybeds on the...

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Zarafa. First and foremost, the location and the wildlife were mind-blowing. We even had our "own" elephant hanging around the tent for much of our visit. Thank you for sharing your experience with others. The Selinda Reserve in Northern Botswana, in which Zarafa Camp is situated, has some of the largest elephant populations coming through. Our stay thoroughly exceeded our expectations! We saw everything we could possibly imagine, wildlife-wise. Endangered wild dogs, young lion cubs feeding, an attempted lion hunt of water buffalo, several leopards, breakfast in the bush with elephants, and sundowners with hippos and loping red lechwe.
