We loved this camp it was small and very personal and the views from the boat trips were something to behold! I just remember thinking everytime we drove out into this piece of paradise I wanted to stand up in the boat and yell it was that spectacular!

We choose this lodge as it offered something different than the standard driving safari, in that, your safari is done by boat and walking. The view of the delta via boat is stunning and fun. The walking safaris are great. We did not expect to see much due to it being the rainy season with high water and grass but...

This is the experience you dream about. From the flight in to the boat trips on the Delta and guided walks in the islands, we could not have enjoyed it more. The service is beyond friendly - it is family. Every single member of the staff makes you feel at home. Being out on the water is amazing seeing all...

Having got off the plane at Xugana Airstrip we had to wait for one of the guides as he was at the opposite end of the strip on a tractor keeping the elephants off the runway…. it’s not Heathrow! Situated in a private concession in the Okavango Delta and only accessible by water, Xugana Island Lodge consists of 8 reed...

From a Dreamliner to an Avro and finally a tiny aircraft all within a span of 24 hours. Landing in the middle of no where and then taking a 10-15 minute ride in a boat, led us to the Camp: to an affectionate welcome. The first evening we took the silent mokoro ride with Mr. Robert and were able to...

A 10 minute Boat cruise from the Airstrip on the Okavango waters, you suddenly met with smiling faces and the friendly staff waving and dancing with cold welcome drinks and towels. All i can say about Xugana is WOW! the Deck has views all around of the Delta. You are surrounded by the Papyrus and reeds. All you can do...

In Botswana, we stayed at 3 safari Lodges – Savute, Xakanaxa and Xugana – owned by Desert & Delta (who have 8 lodges and are part of a larger Botswanan company Chobe Holdings – who also own Safari Air amongst other things). Booking three lodges with Desert & Delta made transit between the camps very straight forward and enable us...

We visited this camp during August as part of our honeymoon, and having travelled to a few camps in Africa previously, were a little disappointed with the enthusiasm of the staff. They were friendly and helpful, but didn't really go above and beyond, which is something we have always treasured about our trips to Africa. The food was pretty poor,...

We travelled as a group organized by (Capricorn - Maun, and Wilderness Travels - USA). We had a wonderful experience. Our guides Chili B and T. H. were excellent and Julia and her team did a fantastic job and made us feel at home. Beautiful property, fabulous rooms and excellent service. I had taken photographs of the staff. I want...

Excellent but not as fun as Moremi. Weak and seemingly disinterested managers reduced the fun factor. Activities seemed more of a "requirement" than a fun time. Everything seemed so regimented and made the day almost exhausting. For example, when we arrived we were told the next day's activity would be a walking tour to view game and whatever. The requirement...
