Now that we are back home, we more and more realize how a totally amazing place Nxai Pan is, despite or perhaps because it is dry, remote, and quite hostile. With regard to the camp: it has spacious campsites with braai which are spread out in the bush connected to the clean and well-maintained ablution blocks via small tracks. Recommended...

Ablution blocks are clean! Hot water and great staff! 4x4 needed to get there, but roads are kept clean and wildlife is amazing! Deep sand getting there. Conservation fees must be paid at any DWNP offices beforehand. Great viewing of Lions, Cheetahs, Elephants, Giraffes, 41 km Sand road to get there and many potholes in the Pan itself, but all...

Very nice. Clean ablutions although had to shower in cold water for 2 nights. Some of the stands better.than others. Battled to get our camping trailor in the shade on stand 8. Ran out of maps for park and markers in park either broken or writing has faded. Other than that very nice

We spent a night at South Camp while visiting Nxai Pan-N.P. The campsite is nicely located under trees in the shade and the ablution blocks are clean. We liked the campsite, but as we were the only ones on the campground with the next people about 2km (1 1/4 mile) away, it was a bit scary as wild animals (esp....

The staff are so friendly, the accommodation is amazing considering it is in the middle of a wilderness. The game drives were just brilliant, masses of zebra at the end of their migration. Black maned lions of the Kalahari, don't miss the Baines Baobabs and the Bushman walk.

Nxai Pan Camp is located in the Nxai Pan National Park, on the edge of an enormous dried lake bed. The camp staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very good. The main building is completely open, so any animals that come to the man-made waterhole can be watched during meals or while taking a swim. The cottages are...

Well, don't judge the camp by the road leading to it. If you're not used to thick sand you might find getting there very disturbing. However, this camp has brand new clean ablutions and seems to be not too busy. The best was that while you set up the tent the elephants walking through not far from you. We've stayed...

Nxai Pan has a fanstastic campsite with clean ablutions. You book with Xomai. The roads have very thick sand from the gate through to the campsite so you need to take it easy. There is also badly corrugated roads, a pitty that they don't grade the roads more frequently. There is only one watering hole with water currently. We saw...

We camped at Nxai Pan National park for 3 nights, the campsite was not too busy and it was nice and peaceful, the facilities were clean and there was hot water for showering, the road leading into the park from the tar was in a bad state and very corrugated, the sand in some places is quite thick and some...

The reviews I read did this campsite no justice. Given, they were dated 2013 and the ablution was renovated since. The spikes around the ablutions to keep the elephants away from the water pipes are fearsome to humans too, so we decided unanimously that it was not the safe place to run to should a lion pay us a nocturnal...
