Set close to the edge of Ntwetwe pan, one of the three pans that make up the Makgadikgadi this camp is the sister to Jacks Camp and having seen the two, in my opinion this is much nicer! From the minute Bart picked us up at the airstrip to the minute we left, every moment was magical and thanks to...

This was our first lodge on our first safari and turned out to be a great place with staff who could not do enough for you. Our guide Bart was amazing. His love of the place shone through and his in depth knowledge of all the plants, animals and birds was outstanding. He took us out on game drives at...

From the moment we arrived to the day we left, we were extremely well looked after. Charles, Bones and the entire team made it a memorable stay for us. The family tent was perfect for us - as we had our 11 year old daughters with us - and we enjoyed the hospitality and activities provided throughout the day. From...

Ok, first and foremost, we were very luck to see the migration of the zebras and all the green which they had missed for so long but the place is amazing! We loved our stay. Tents are simple and not spectacular.....The food however is! Best we had during our trip.......The game drives were wonderful although we did not see our...

Dumela Hans, We are so glad that you were able to join us at Camp Kalahari and are so excited that you were able to witness the zebra migration. With the heavy rains we've had over the last few months, they've decided to stick around a little longer. Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback, especially about the food....

A huge thank you to Charles, Vincent, Jomo, and Bones for your hospitality. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly and made me feel immediately at home. The camp is beautiful this time of year right after the rains because the land is so lush and green (many baby zebras abound). Travelers coming this time of year, I...

Thank you so much for joining us at Camp Kalahari! Each season in the Makgadikgadi brings something unique. Green season, as its commonly known, is no exception and with all the rains we've had this year you were definitely there at a very special time. The newborns and birds breath new life into the areas surrounding camp and like you...

Still cannot decide if this should be a first or last camp experience. To be honest I was not sure about this camp when I arrived as it was very different to the previous camps. The accommodation was a real tent with ensuite – set privately in a great location. I felt like I was in an old British Colony....

One of the many highlights of our trip. Camp Kalahari is basic but very nice. The tented rooms are large and comfortable. The camp staff were great and made sure you were very well looked after. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Our guide Jonah was excellent, I think he enjoyed taking on the game drives nearly more than...

This is a well-run camp providing a charming if basic accommodation. Food was the best of all the camps we visited; game drives not particularly fruitful but Bart was a knowledgeable guide who made each activity educational. Don't miss the meercat experience. Contrary to published reports, the camp DOES have electricity.
