We weren't even guests of this resort (we stayed at SLK) but needed some help. When we dropped by Lindsey was very warm and welcoming. Very much appreciate the help out in the deep, deep bush when there are a lot of options!

Charming first class Lodge in Chobe National Park in Botswana. Had incredible safari sightings and greatly enjoyed the sage-scented morning game drives. Saw a leopard hunt his lunch and heard a lion roar from 6-feet away! Unbelievable!

Our family of four stayed at this lodge as well as Belmond Eagle Island. This is definitely the poor relation in that it has not been refurbished in some time I would say. Nevertheless, it's got a lovely feel, the rooms are big and the staff the usual African friendly that you would expect. Food is plentiful and not fancy...

Dear PerthKerry, Thank you for your review and we agree that the game viewing at Savute is excellent, so much so that Nat Geo Wild filmed a documentary "Savage Kingdom' about the predators in the area, and has been nominated for a few awards too! The lodge is due for a refurbishment, with all the plans in place - pending...

Friends referred us here with the plan of staying two nights however were only able to stay one. The drive on the dirt road took over three hours (70km) due to excessive rain - most parts were almost washed out - 4WD only at that time of year and was quite stressful. Weren't really prepared for road conditions however that...

We arrived here from Eagle Island Lodge which had been first class and very luxurious so spent a lot of time comparing the two lodges and unfortunately Savute fell short. The property is looking tired and in need of renovation although the bedrooms are lovely. The manager Lindsey was very friendly and helpful but service was slow and food was...

I cannot put into words how amazing this place is. The staff are extraordinary, the quality of the lodges is amazing and given the remoteness of the location, the quality of the food they manage to produce is frankly remarkable. Elephants wander up to the camp during breakfast and the variety of animals that we saw on our three 'game...

So the internet isn't great. But the food here was better than at Belmond Eagle Island. The lodge itself is a bit older. But I loved it. The staff was really warm and very accommodating. Our guide Keem was outstanding. Funny and bright. An informative guide and tracker. We had special experiences seeing lions face of against a cobra. Tracking...

Fabulous for elephants and lions. Our guide for most of the 2 days was Watch and he is excellent. As well as the many close encounters with lions (a pride of 15) and elephants we also saw many unusual birds and a leopard. We were able to compare management styles between two other Belmond lodges and this one was not...

Emotions flow when you watch the extraordinary wildlife around this beautiful hotel, And the elephants of that area of the Okavango Delta are the most beautiful in the world. If you only have an opportunity in life to watch African wildlife, this is it!

This was a very luxurious tent lodge camp. There was a watering hole out front where as many as 35 elephants congregated. We also saw hyenas, leopards and lions right out in front of our porch. Staff was friendly and very attentive and the food was quite good.
