After the one off experience of crossing the Zambezi River from the sister Sanctuary Lodge in Zambia (going through Immigration on both sides was quite amusing and a story in itself!) we were f\ull of anticipation and wonder as we drove down the bumpy, dustry...More
Whether by late afternoon boat cruise or land safari drive, you will see an unbelievable number and species of animals - elephants, giraffe, zebra etc. The game drive has to stick to the sandy roads but that is not an issue as the game is...More

Thank you for your question.
Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero is based in the Kasane Forest Reserve and borders the Chobe National Park. The lodge boasts an exceptional view of the Chobe River, where large herds of elephants and buffaloes can be observed.
We often have a variety of animals wandering outside the lodge such as impala, elephant, buffalo and the occasional leopard. Inside the lodge grounds we are frequently visited by banded mongoose, the almost extinct Chobe bushbuck and a variety of birdlife.
I hope this answers your question.

The normal expected toiletries are provided - shampoo, hand and bath gel, etc. - and replenished as needed. At all the camps we visited, insect repellent was provided. If you want to take some wipes vs. repellent spray, you'll save space and perhaps a little weight. I did not visit the camp store, so I can't help you with what might be available.
