We have just left after a few days here as a large group of adults and children. We were transferred to the hotel and cases were taken straight to our room. Welcome drinks on arrival at reception and kids were all taken away by staff - we didn't see them again until dinner. All food was included and the quality...

Dera Daniel D Firstly, thank you for your detailed review. It's great to hear that the kids had so much fun! We enjoyed keeping them entertained! I appreciate your suggestions on the beverage charging. We will definitely look into adjusting our policy in this regard. I will also look into the matter of the unhappy staff member. Beautiful scenery as far as the eye can see, even spotted some baboons at the entrance as we drove up! We stayed in the Garden Lodge for 3 nights, the villa was perfect for our family of 4 (2 kids 7 and 4 yrs). Hotel staff welcomes you and helps to plan out your stay on arrival. Our first day...

Dear A D I'm delighted to hear that you and your family had such a super stay with us. Whilst the weather was not perfect, I'm glad you enjoyed the little rainy day treats we sent you. It seems like the kids had an amazing time. I hope we'll see you all again soon. Regards Sean

I, my parents, wife and three kids stayed there for three nights in May. What a great time! The property's natural surroundings are amazing, almost other-worldly. Don't pass up the chance at a Land Rover tour of the Fynbos with one of their guides (tip of the hat to Chumani). It's really easy to fill up your camera's memory card....

Dear Wineseller71 Since your stay with us a few months ago, the reserve has exploded into a magnificent display of floral colour. As Chumani would have told you, the Erica Irregularis, which has splashed the surrounding hills in shades of bright pink, is now in full bloom. For the next month we get to experience a floral diplay that can...

Grootbos was an amazing experience, we stayed three nights in the Forest Lodge and highly recommend the property. The accommodations were the nicest hotel / resort we have stayed at to date. The villa was incredibly well decorated and the view from our deck of the ocean was similar to a postcard. The staff was well polished and extremely friendly....

We had 3 nights in a suite in the Forest Lodge at Grootbos in early June. The suite was very spacious with a large bedroom, a large living area, a huge main bathroom and a smaller second bathroom.
