Orinda B&b is now closed. The owners took down the web site and walked away from the property. I don't have any more information at this time. It's in a great location if anyone is looking for property in Taos. We stayed at Casa Europa instead and had a great time, very nice innkeepers and a beautiful property.

We have stayed at Orinda every time we've visited Taos for the past 15 years or so (4 stays). Each time, it's been a little different, but has always been inviting, the hosts friendly, and the food delicious! One trip, taken with friends from Belgium, was especially memorable-- they had never been any place like it! The last time we...

Hello! This was my second time staying at Orinda and the experience was just as comfortable as the first. John and Cathryn are pleasant people who do their best to make you feel at home the whole time you are there. It is easy to see how much time they spend in preparing things for your stay. The fireplace in...

When you are traveling with an 85 pound, 13-yr-old Labrador retriever, not everybody puts out the welcome mat. John and Cathryn at the Orinda (along with their dogs, Chaco and Katy), however, did everything to make us and to make Max feel welcome. When we arrived, I realized that I had made a mistake in choosing rooms, going for the...

We (my husband, our two teenage sons and I) loved Orinda! John and Katie are wonderful hosts, the views are spectacular and the house so beautiful. Our room was big, delightfully decorated and very comfortable and the views from the balcony fantastic. If you are going to Taos, Orinda is definitely the place to stay! Thanks again John and Katie...

My son and I stayed at Orinda for one night prior to hiking Wheeler Peak the next day. It was a lovely room with an incredible view of the mountains from the deck! John gave us restaurant recommendations as well, and we had a wonderful dinner at Graham's Grille. Wish we could have stayed for breakfast but headed out early...

My boyfriend and I spent two nights at the orinda last weekend in celebration of my birthday, and we loved it. We stayed in the taos mountain room, and were wowed by the tranquility and healing energy of the place. John and Kathryn were great hosts, and made us feel quite at home. One of John's first questions for us...

My wife and I stayed in the Fayotto suite (bedroom, bathroom, and private living room). Located just outside of town, it is secluded, quiet, and peaceful, yet a short drive into town. There was a magpie nest in the tree just outside our private entrance and a prairie dog town and horses in the fields between the house and Taos...

We stayed in the Taos Mountain Room and it was awesome! It had the best mountain view in Taos, a kiva gas fireplace, huge bathroom, balcony, and comfy bed! The breakfast is amazing! John is a wonderful chef with decades of experience! Cathryn is an awesome hostess and makes you feel like part of the family! I highly recommend this...

In response to the "one" post about the B&B not being great. I would give the new owners a break, they just bought the B&B and there was a new road coming in.. John was an exceptional chef, world class. The location is excellent, close to the shopping and easy to get to every sight one can imagine. Taos is...
