From the warm, joyful greeting by Jake, the innkeepers Cavibichon [who will lead you to your room] to the gourmet breakfasts by John. Try his oats brulee' . Each breakfast is different. Innkeepers Prudy and John have personally visited every tourist site and good restaraunt in Taos, and have insider advice a special tips about each one. It's a short... More

My daughter had stayed at the Dreamcatcher before and decided the entire family should make the trip to Taos to celebrate her wedding. We were there for 5 nights and Prudy and John were absolutely wonderful. Our family and our daughter's future family took over the entire B&B. We had the wedding in the court yard with a justice of... More

It was a pleasure to revisit the Dreamcatcher after a time lapse which included a change in management...and some apprehension. This B@B has always presented as a premier property in the past and we found that John and Pru are maintianing the standards of the past innkeepers in spite of the seasonal slowdown of these times...snow, economy etc...a foot of... We arrived ~9pm and had a note from John telling us that tea & cookies awaited us. Stayed in the Kachina room and found thoughtful ammenities in both the bedroom and bathroom. Recommend not to use the kiva fireplace - enough smoke came into the room that we kept the outside door open and once home, had to wash all... More

So sorry to read that the fireplace was smoky for you! We try to give good instructions for setting and lighting the fire, but next time you are here, just ask John to set it for you. He'd be happy to ! Glad the Harwood event brought you our way. Prudy and John More

I am sorry I took so long to post this review of the Dreamcatcher because it is a lovely place and the owners are very special people. We visited for Memorial Day weekend 2010 and we stayed at the Dreamcatcher our first night. When we arrived, the dark, brooding clouds that had been threatening as we arrived in Taos after... More

What a wonderful B and B nestled in a quiet Taos neighborhood. Prudence, John, and Jake (the welcome dog) are perfect hosts - making sure all your needs are met. The breakfasts are phenomenal -my hat off to John! Our Pueblo room was clean, comfy, and homey. The beautiful luminarias are so welcoming when you come in after an evening... More

My daughter, teenage granddaughter and I stayed in adjoining suites which worked out perfectly for our multi-age stay. Prudy and John are the ultimate hosts and cooks.

My husband and I traveled from Arizona to meet friends at the Dreamcatcher. The hosts, John and Prudy Abeln, are warm and welcoming, as is Jake, the greeting dog. Our room (Pueblo) was beautiful and kept sparkling clean each day. We enjoyed a fire in the fireplace, the peace and quiet and the Taos "sparks." The breakfasts were delicious and... More

I stayed a couple of nights at the Dreamcatcher and loved it! The location at first seems a bit out of the way, but once I got oriented, I realized it was in an excellent location. My room was charming and I really appreciated the extra amenities that were provided, which included make-up remover, lip balm and a big bottle... More
