There are only 2 rooms with a balcony overlooking the Plaza and they are worth the extra cost. To sit on the balcony and watch life unfold on the Plaza was a great experience. The historic hotel is up-to-date with modern comforts. You're walking distance to great restaurants and history. We were there in mid-October and weather was nice, crowds...

The convenience of being in the historic plaza was important to us as we wanted to be able to just park our car and walk. The staff were very pleasant and most accommodating, and we enjoyed meeting Kristen, Jo, and Frank. They were informative as to what to do in the area and made our stay a very pleasant one....

When you visit Taos this is a great place to stay. Located in the plaza right in the center of town, walking distance to everything. Nice rooms, good price. The area takes you back to the old west in America.

Very charming old hotel which has been restored with all the comforts needed. Our room was overlooking the Plaza and was lovely. The staff was great. Parking is either on the street or in the back, which is a little ways to walk, but the clerk checking us in opened the back door and brought a luggage rack to make...

This is a great hotel with history and location right on the square. The issue is the noise in the square at night. On a Friday, I had to resort to the ear plugs that were provided in the bathroom to get some sleep and still it was a challenge. The staff was excellent and the wifi was good. The...

This was not our first stay at this hotel! We love staying here due to the location. The rooms are small, but comfortable and very clean. For the most part the hotel staff where very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable about near by activities! My only concern with the staff was one of the housekeeping staff left our room door open...

La Fonda is a very convenient place to stay in Taos with easily accessible car park and a great position on the main square. We were given a warm welcome and our room 302 was light, spacious and had a little balcony overlooking the activity below. We didn't try the dining room as they don't serve breakfast however complimentary teas...

Historic hotel that has been nicely updated. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient parking behind the hotel. Interesting art work displayed. Nice coffee shop on site. Eccentric exhibit of D. H. Lawrence paintings was fun to see.

We wanted a retreat for a night while spending a week in Pagosa Springs and we had always wanted to stay here and were pleasantly surprised. Everything was done well, the decor, the service, everything. You get coffee, tea or hot chocolate 24 hours or from the Starbucks when it's open. There is a beautiful sitting area on the mezzanine...

Have walked past place this place 100's of times over the last 50 years and never stayed there. Am I ever glad I chose the La Fonda this time! The Penthouse is as nice of a suite you could wish for. A bit pricey, but we felt it was worth it and will use it again.
