Mike and Colleen are lovely and will make your stay enjoyable. While very plain, this is the most cleanly motel we have ever had the privilege to occupy. It is extremely reasonably priced and we will definitely make it our business to stay there again.

We stopped in for a night on a road trip, & we were just delighted. I based our choice on other reviews I had read about Mike the owner, & they were all spot on. We were warmly welcomed by Colleen, Mike's wife... she actually heard us commenting that there were only plastic drinking cups in the room & had...

Privately owned motel that is well-maintained with clean rooms and comfortable beds. We had stayed there before with similar results, and are pleased that nothing has changed in this regard. We had a noisy refrigerator in the room, but simply unplugged it and reported to the owner the next morning.

Awesome night's sleep in spotless room. 2nd time to stay here & will stay again. Plan to purchase mattresses just like those here. An added plus is being able to park outside your room. Too bad all motels aren't like this.

This places was great, really friendly owner Mike. Simple clean room with good bed and shower. Perfect for the overnight stay while travelling especially at half the price of the local hotel. We paid 65 including tax for double room. No breakfast but the Santa Fe grill is a short hop if u need a good quality breakfast. Would definitely...

Hope to make this an annual stop on our route home from AZ. to MN. As everyone has said before, no frills such as breakfast, pool, exercise room, blah, blah, but just what we needed. A good nights sleep in comfy beds in a clean room, with parking right outside our door--important to us as our truck is usually packed...

We love to stop at these route 66 motels, and we always appreciate the owners, but we did not appreciate the room after the lights went out! We had the room right next to the office, I believe number 18 which a street light shines plenty of light and you can hear every car passing by on the road. We...

This is a great place if you need a very clean, comfortable room. Mike, the owner, was very helpful and friendly. This is NOT a chain motel with the so called "hot" breakfast but the price is great and the rooms were immaculately clean. We stayed there twice and both times we got the best sleep we had all week!

La Mesa is a charming. Mom and Pop motel. Old school 50's era motel and we'll maintained. Pink neon lights and all. We made a reservation without using a credit card. Show up at 10pm. The host was waiting on us to close up. He brought us to the room opened the door showed us around. Told us where to...
