We stayed at the beautiful Bayethe Lodge. It' s stunning and luxurious and I still dream about it. The safari itself was brilliant. Our ranger was very knowledgeable as well as entertaining. Really hope to go back one day!

Accommodation at Shamwari Long Lee manor is luxurious. We had a large suite with 2 bathrooms overlooking the patio area. On our first night there was only one other couple staying so pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. Staff are very friendly and very attentive. Food is very good with plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch & dinner....

Safari OMG, if you would have asked me to choose between a trip to Bruce the tooth (top dentist) or Safari then blah de blah who knows, well shock horror we have had the most amazing experiences, sitting in the back of a jeep with a pride of lions walking around you,not more than 2 metres away, tracking a Cheetah,...

Shamwari is a 23 year old private reserve about a half hour from Port Elizabeth with roughly 62,000 acres of land where animals can roam freely. It is also the largest of the private reserves in the Eastern Cape and probably the best one to see in this area if you're looking for a safari experience. The manor house dates...

Just had 4 nights in Long Lee Manor and we were pampered from start to finish. And we seemed to never stop eating! The game drives were excellent thanks to Nadine, our enthusiastic, kind and friendly ranger with her "eagle eyes". We saw plenty of predators (lions, cheetah, and 1 leopard) as well as elephant, all kinds of antilope, hippos...

Eagles Crag is the couples only one which was brilliant. The name is a misnomer as the eagles are no longer there but the surrounding forest provides great privacy. The lodge Suit 8 was great. It had a large four poster bed in the middle of the room and round the sides were a bathroom, toilet and indoor shower. Also...

Stayed 4 nights at Eagles Crag & cannot thank all the staff involved in the whole set up enough for their excellent 5 star service and friendliness. Lodges, main lodge & eating areas were all of a very high standard & nothing ever seemed...

We just stayed here in September 2013. We had a great experience. We had heard that the Safari experience would be largely dependent upon your guide. Well, we had a great one! She knew how to track down the big 5 (as well as all the others such as the cheetah and giraffes) which made for a fantastic experience for...
