Just returned from a visit of three days at Long Lee Manor. Managed to see the Big Five and more during our game drives. The suite was excellent. The service of all the staff was enthusiastic. The food was very good as well and plentiful. Our guide, Julius, was knowledgeable and professional and an excellent driver, despite the sometimes tricky...

For: Exceptional ranger called Asher. He managed to track and show us elephants at 5 paces, rhino and baby at 15 paces, lions at 10 paces, plus cheetahs and hippos and loads of giraffes. Fantastic! Food and staff were excellent. Against: We could only fault one thing... Room 3 was close to the air conditioning system of the kitchen. We...

We stayed at Long Lee Manor for three nights in December. We chose Shamwari because it is in a malaria free area and we wanted to take our kids aged 12 and 17 on their first safari. We chose the garden suites which over-look a water hole which were of a very high standard and perfectly situated. At 5am one...

Just back from a four day stay at Shamwari on Riverdene Lodge. We saw all the animals and were very well looked after. The food and staff were great. The animals were magnificent. The reserve is big so patience is a necessity as you can drive for forty minutes and see lots of antelope and birds but nothing else. Suddenly...

This was the best experience of our life. We have travelled the World and been very fortunate to witness many things but this was so so special. The people, the landscape and of course the animals were breath taking and the accommodation first class. We were extremely fortunate to have had "Jaco" as our ranger, he is an absolute diamond...
