Had an amazing time again. From having meals in the bush to incredible game drives. The staff does everything to make your trip outstanding. Accommodations have decks to relax and watch wildlife when you are not on a game drive. Each one is private with an indoor/outdoor shower, a large bath, and a very comfortable bed. I will be back...

Venue - The Thornybush Private Nature Reserve is a 15,000 hectare game preserve adjacent to Kruger National Park. We stayed at the Thornybush Game Lodge - a quaint group of common structures and 20 private cottages that face the preserve. Internet is available in the common areas, where you can upload the days' photos to share with friends and family...

Safari/game rides - we were assigned to a ranger and tracker team that met us at 6AM and again at 4PM for two daily game rides. The open land rovers seat 10, only 6 in our vehicle; it was very comfortable. Blankets and rain ponchos are provided. Our 6AM journey would take us throughout the Thornybush preserve – stopping for...

This is a first class destination with the Lodge well appointed with good service and a variety of food of good quality and many variations including an outside dinner. Not too many details because it would spoil your experience. The game drives early morning and evening include blankets and hot water bottles morning tea and sundowners in the evening. Being...

Just arrived home from three weeks in South Africa and Zambia. The Thornybush Game Lodge experience is unforgettable. Outstanding service from the staff, fine food at all meals, charming thatched roof cottages with indoor and outdoor showers and six morning and evening ranger/tracker led animal adventures. We saw all of the big 5 in abundance plus white and black rhino...

This place exceeded our expectations. Travelled with family of 7, three sons ages 7-12 as well as the grandparents. We had a special experience. Our driver Ryno and our tracker Orlando were both wonderful. We saw tons of game, but wasn't just the sighting that made the trip. Ryno had a true passion and love of the bush, and we...

We stayed here 4 nights after spending 5 days in Botswana at a mobile camp site. It was definitely luxurious in comparison. Front office staff and managers were hospitable and accommodating. Our group had the entire lodge. Had one of the best massages ever at their small spa. Food was delicious, and they surprised us with a breakfast and a...

we stayed at Thornybush for 3 nights in Aug 2015 and this was by far one of the most pleasant stays we have had on a vacation.
