We first came to Ngala Tented camp 3 years ago. We just returned from 2 nights at Tented camp as our third stay in as many years. This lodge is incredible. Since it's maximum capacity is 18 people (9 tents), it has a very nice, intimate feel. The "tents" are very comfortable and spacious. The beds are perfect for a...

Although you are sleeping in a tent, don't be fooled. There is nothing tent-like or ordinary about this property. It is luxurious and beautiful, very private and comfortable. We stayed in tent 1 which has a view of the dry riverbed and is close to the pool. Be sure to bring your own converter - there are none provided in...

Several weeks ago we spent four days on safari at Ngala Tented Camp. It was our first time on safari, and I joke that the first day we saw 7 of the Big 5. Some of the African safari reviews rate the Timbavati lower in game density than say Sabi Sand, but I don't see how that would be possible....

This is our very first trip to South Africa and we wanted to try out a safari holiday. We were recommended by our travel agent A2A safari this wonderful lodge - Ngala tented camp. It was a great experience. Our range Roan is brilliant and we had some wonderful game drives and very interesting animal sightings. Our host David is...

Loved our stay at Ngala. We had room 7 which is one of the more modern tents and has an excellent view over the river (currently dry) where elephants walk up and down. The food throughout was good (although not as good as Kirkman's) with service from our butler David attentive, warm and friendly. We were treated to a visit...

We traveled with a party of 12 to South Africa and ended our trip with a visit to Ngala Tented Camp~ We saved the Best for Last! Our group saw the Big 5 and then some! Always a beautiful 'Good Morning' from our butler, David... The elephants that stopped by the pool were an added delight. The animals that were...

This is my second trip to Ngala, the first being in 2009 and staying at the Lodge, this time around we stayed at the Tented Camp as the Lodge was closed for renovation. What can I say, it was fantastic, the staff are sensational, the food is up there with the best of the best and the game drives are...

We were a group of 12 family and friends who spent 3 nights at Ngala Tented Camp. With the group being so large we had the camp as our own. The tents are luxurious. The food is gourmet with the chef able to accommodate any dietary requests. Some of the dishes were so goid, I asked the chef for recipes...

We 1st visited Ngala in April 1993 where we had our first safari experience and fell in love with South Africa. This year was our 3rd trip there and we decided with our travel agent to return to Ngala. Currently only the Tented Camp was operable as the 21 room "Safari Camp" is currently under renovation. (That does not affect...

We were at this lodge 3 nights of our 10 day trip in South Africa, organized by andBeyond. This was our favorite lodge. Pros: Luxury tents with air conditioning, nice bathrooms with bath and outdoor shower. The common area has a luxurious and very nice decor where you feel like being before and after the great meals. The outdoor pool...
