It was such a pleasure for us to welcome you back to Leopard Hills, and we look forward to seeing you back with us in the not too distant future. I think you sum it up best when you say it is an emotional journey, being able to witness incredible wildlife sightings in their natural surrounding, and seeing nature at it best. We are blessed beyond measure to be a part of such an incredible place we call home, and nothing gives us more pleasure than to be able to share these experiences with our Guests. Kind Regards from all the Leopard Hills Family until the next time we share some more experiences together.

It is a dilemma deciding whether to revisit a honeymoon destination...for us nearly sixteen years ago.... can it ever be as good? I am delighted to report that under the ongoing excellent management, this heavenly lodge continues to exceed all expectations. Starting with the

In my opinion this hotel is overrated, given the price they charge. The game drives are good, but I would expect a decent bed in the lodges -- the bed is only 188 cm in length! The pool was not very nice and very cold, nothing we could enjoy. The shower is leaking. My second

As always, we appreciate all feedback, and we take it in a constructive way in order to constantly strive to improve our service levels. I was a little surprised to see your comments, as they are so different from other comments in this forum. It is a pity you did not give us a chance to discuss any of the issues you had while you were in Camp, as I am sure we could have rectified any problems immediately, but seeing you have voiced your concerns in this forum, I feel I need to respond in this form. 1. The beds are all standard King Size in all the Suites, unless in your case, the booking requested twin beds, which are then 2 x three quarter beds. 2. As you will recall that there was a significant amount of rainfall during your stay with us, and I would agree that it was not the ideal conditions for swimming in your Private Plunge Pool, and as it was definitely cooler weather than we usually have at this time of the year, you probably didn't get the full benefit of a facility which is most used during the hot summer days we have here in the African Bush. During your stay with us, your shower was not reported as having a leak, and even today there is still not a leak that we have observed. All of our Suites were upgraded at the end of 2018, including all pools, decks, floors and amenities. 3. I do understand that food is very much to individual taste, and I think based on previous articles written, over all the food is of a very high standard and very much enjoyed by the majority of our Guests. Unfortunately, as it rained every day, which is unusual for this time of the year, we were unable to offer you a Boma dinner, but we did manage to give you and your Group a Private dining experience in our beautiful Library. Thank you for your comments on the fish, I have passed this onto our Executive Chef. Our breakfast buffets have a fine array of different fruits, cereals, yogurts, cheeses and pastries, in addition to the substantial array of choices from the menus ranging from full English Breakfast option to specials of the day. The lunch Menu, as you quite rightly point out, is the same, but has numerous options to accommodate everyone tastes and needs, I apologies if you felt this was not the case. 4. It is this last point that has me most confused, as one thing, more than any other, is the fact that our Staff are our greatest asset, and they have always been, and always will be the "heartbeat" of Leopard Hills. I have had the privileged of being at Leopard Hills since we opened 21 years ago, and we have 6 Staff Members who have been with us since the beginning, and another 10 who have been with us over 10 years. I find it difficult to believe this would be the case if they were unhappy, underpaid and unmotivated, indeed I find this comment somewhat insulting. I hope you can appreciate that our Staff are here to look after all of our Guests needs and interests, and I understand that there were a number of occasions when our Team Members had to requested your Partner not to smoke Cigars in Public Areas, especially over the breakfast buffet, as other Guest were, quite rightly in my opinion, upset by this practice. If these requests upset you, and made you feel that our Staff Members were not happy, I do apologize, but they were only carrying out their duties as per our Lodge Policies, and also keeping in line with South African law. Your closing remark "that your experience was different from other hotels you stayed in in South Africa”, is somewhat conflicted, as having read all your articles of the other facilities you stayed in on your trip to South Africa, we seem to have come out better than most. In conclusion, I thank you once again for your opinions, and as stated above, we will always strive to better our standards. Regards from the Leopard Hills Team

What airstrip do you use for intra lodge flights?
Ulusaba Airstrip is the closest, we drop off and collect our Guests from there, its a mere 10 minutes drive from Leopard Hills. This Airstrip is serviced by Fedair with direct flights from Johannesburg International. Alternatively you can fly direct from Johannesburg or Cape Town to Skukuza in the Kruger National Park, and fly across from there, or road transfer which is about an hour.

All are excellent. December is rainy season so doubt elephants will come to your pool.

Dear Casey E You can book the lodge through a site or another travel agent, however you can contact the lodge reservations directly to cut out any middle man that might cause for confusion. They will be able to book flights to the lodge / transfers from the airport for you. All their information is on their actual website which is run by seasons in africa.
