I stayed at Djuma Vuyatela while going on my first safari during a couple weeks in sub-Saharan Africa. It was the first of about a half-dozen places I stayed during this trip, which included three safari lodges. Not only was it my favorite place to stay on safari, but perhaps the best lodge/resort/hotel I've ever stayed in. First things first...

From the moment we touched down in our aircraft we were surrounded by the most amazing wildlife. We saw the big five within 24 hours of arriving. Djuma vuyatela lodge is perfect. It has everything you need at a safari lodge without being pretentious or over the top. The staff were fantastic. Most of them are from the local area...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Djuma Vuaytela, game viewing was great and rangers very knowledgeable. Service was excellent and everyone did walk the extra mile to make our time there an unforgettable experience. The rooms are great, with your own plunge hole, an outdoor shower and all the comforts you may wish for despite being in the middle...

We Stayed at Djuma for 3 nights in June/July we wished we had stayed more nights. The service was first class, lots of food and the friendliest staff. Our ranger (Textton) made sure we saw the big 5. It was overall a great experience for the whole family.

We stayed at the Vuyatela for four nights for the first part of our 3 week honeymoon. The Vuyatela had been recommended to us by Taryn Harris at Winning Solutions (based in South Africa) she was absolutely brilliant and we would recommend her company to anyone. We are so glad we contacted somebody with local knowledge as we didn’t have...

We stayed four nights in this luxury hotel after our friend and South Africa bush expert Bridget Booysen recommended this place to us. Anyone going to South Africa, connect with Bridget Booysen at Bushbreaks (http://www.bushbreaks.co.za/index.php/home.html). They got fabulous rates and good suggestions. We were picked up from the Nelspruit airport on time, and had a comfortable 2 1/2 hour ride...
