Notten’s Bush Camp is a jewel within the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve in Mpumalanga, which means “the land of the rising sun” in the locally spoken language, Shangaan. Notten’s is an exclusive and private safari lodge personally run by the Notten family. This beautiful, intimate safari lodge is situated within one of South Africa’s finest natural sanctuaries the Sabi Sand Reserve and Greater Kruger National Park. It is a destination that will truly touch your heart and soul. Each private suite is elegantly styled, spacious and cooled by ceiling fans. A magical atmosphere is created with the purposeful absence of electric lighting; the ambient candlelight and lanterns capturing an enchanting spirit of romance. With splendid panoramic views, this private game lodge is the perfect place for peace and relaxation while watching animals meander past.

From check-in (where we were greeted with cool eucalyptus towels and cucumber/lime ice water) to check-out our stay at Notten's Bush Camp exceeded expectations. Notten's is owned/operated by the Notten's family (we even had the pleasure of dining with David Notten one evening!),

We just got home from our trip to Africa, where we spend 3 nights at Nottens Bush Camp, booked thru go2Afirca travel group, which I highly recommend. This place is amazing. Riann was our guide, and went above and beyond our expectations to ensure we were not disappointed on

Nottens Bush Camp is one of the few owner run camps in South Africa. It is small so getting a room is often tricky but its worth trying. Open topped game vehicles ensure great game viewing and due to its location, excellent game sightings are the norm rather than the unusual.

Nottens Bush Camp was simply amazing in so many ways. First, the dining and general staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Each and every staff member (and there are quite a few) shook our hands and greeted us personally. They went out of their way each and every day to make

Do any of your rooms have single beds?
My first visit I was there with my daughter. They placed a bed in the room for her. So, I had a King bed & she had (I think) a double.

Any idea what the approximate cost is for 2 nights for 1 room, two people?
All rooms are at the rack rate per person. Go to their website and it will be there. Deal directly with them to get the best rate. It’s all inclusive. The only money you will use would be tips and gift store. There is WiFi, but not in your room. Nottens fills out quickly. We already have 2019 booked.

Hi there. Yes there is mosquitos around the grounds and while on the game drives. Take repellent with you. Available at your drug store. The mosquitos are around early morning and at dusk. Wear a long sleeve, and keep colors at Brown or Beige. If you travel soon you will need a warm coat/jacket for the morning drive and a warm hat. I know you will have a very enjoyable time.
