Our stay at Umkumbe Lodge was absolutely amazing. Hospitable people, beautiful lodge and the best game drive I've ever done. The rangers were a little bit nuts but that only made the game drive even more incredible and adventurous. A bit pricey, but totally worth it!

The food was delicious, dinner was served around a camp fire which made for a relaxing and romantic evening. Breakfast and lunch buffet were very tasty and there was plenty to go around. We stayed three nights in the Umkumbe Safari Lodge. We really liked our room with view on the river Sabi. It is a great location for a safari hotel just beside the river. Our room was very big and clean and we felt very comfortable in the Umkumbe Safari Lodge. Compared to an other safari hotel we stayed before the...

We stayed 4 nights here. The accommodation is superb - we had a "superior" family room with wonderful outdoor shower. The rooms are cleaned and tidied daily and were surprisingly completely bug-free. The lodge is a small one with around twenty guests. We had morning and evening/night drives, each around three and a half hours with break for coffee or...

We spent three days in Umkumbe and we absolutely loved it. The Lodge is very nice and perfectly situated right at the Sabi River. The first thing we saw when arriving was grazing elephants in the dried river bed. The game drives were fantastic and we never wanted them to end! Our ranger Mauritz and tracker Joseph amazed everyone with...
