This is a small park at the top of Raton Pass with specular 180 degree views of the valleys on both sides. Easy on and off the interstate and a great little overnight stop. The park was clean and the staff was very pleasant.

Stayed overnight, beautiful location right off the highway at a high altitude and park is well maintained. The negative experience came a couple of hours after we had left when we got a call from the owner saying we used 4 days of internet bandwidth by using facetime. We did not use facetime or other videoconferencing apps, streaming etc. Not...

I went online and made reservations long in advance, but when I checked on them the day before our arrival, they didn't seem "to have us in the book" ..even though we paid in full in advance.? ( I noticed they use something I'd not run across before...QuickBooks maybe) However they assured us they would accommodate us and could put...

We have stayed at the Raton Pass CG four different times while traveling from DFW to Colorado. It is the perfect distance for us to stop. The CG is basically on top of the pass. The temperature is much cooler up here than in the town. You will find spectacular views at this very nice CG. We paid $32.85 with...

Awesome views from atop Raton Pass, the sunset should not be missed! The park is located right off I-25 Exit 460 at the top of Raton Pass--easy to get to and get right back on the road in the am. You hear trucks on the interstate pulling up the pass and braking going down, but even with a window open...

Love staying here! Called in to let them know we were limping in on a flat but said no matter when got there to come on in. They always treat you like family. It's cool & nice at the top of the pass. Makes for a wonderful sunset too! Woke up to see a bull elk on the hill. Can't...

This is a very nice campground and we enjoyed staying here. The shower and restroom facilities were clean and the Wi-Fi was good. There is a great view from the park and we saw two deer walk into the campground. The staff was friendly and put us in a slot next to the shower facilities so my daughter had more...

We are just passing through for the night, but this is a nice RV park. Gravel pads aren't the greatest, but it seems to be pretty fresh and the rain passes right through. Some pretty views too. I understand that they have bears come into the park! Now that'll wake you up first thing in the morning!

Make sure you use exit 460. My GPS told me to use exit 451 off of I-25, but a phone call to confirm a pull thru for my 39' motorhome suggested exit 460, which is a little tricky as that exit is also used for a weigh station (at least heading south). The park staff was very friendly and showed...

Staff was very friendly. Internet worked great. For a park just off the interstate the sleep quality was excellent! This will be a park we come back to when we need a place for the night. Not much to do but we were not looking for that type of park, we just needed a place to get some rest for...
