I stayed here several years ago with a relative. The accommodations were very nice and it was a very interesting home in a unique setting. We had stayed here before and things have changed. The complimentary breakfast is no longer made to order. The property is looking a little tired. Our room had a smokers smell in it (non smoking room.) The furnace in our adjoining room did not work. We did enjoy our showers because of the near pressure washer like water pressure.

This is our second stay at the Dobson House, well worth the four mile drive in from 64, over well maintained dirt roads. The Dobsons have built this inn in a lovely setting about 20 minutes drive down a well graded, passenger car friendoy dirt road about 10 miles from Taos town. We really enjoyed our stay at Dobson House, not just because the hospitality and breakfast were wonderful, but more because we felt welcome, warm, and well grounded in this unique, hand built accommodation. The Dobson House is amazing. I've never stayed in a more comfortable enriching place in my life, and that includes my very comfy home! The Dobson House is located about 20 minutes off of the main road... the experience is worth the 'extra mile' to get to it.
