Very easy to to and from. People are always friendly whether local or visitors. The cafe was closed on Sunday when I was there. But have stopped there before and the food is great! Long ways to get fuel again so you might want to fill up here before traveling on. Lots to do in this area. Fishing, hunting and... More

Was in town and stopped for dinner. Huge 220z bacon wrapped ribeye steak and fries for about $23. Nice salad bar and the have Coke products. Place is connected to a gas station hotel and convince store not what you would expect in the middle of New Mexico about 2 hours out of Albuquerque.

We had originally stopped to fuel up. It turns out we got petro and done yummy food! The restaurant rustic and very inviting. We were traveling as a family and we were treated excellent by the waitresses and all! The food hit the spot perfectly...fresh and yummy! My 6 year old nephew ordered a steak and the waitress kindly invited... More

The staff here were great and very accommodating when we turned up late. They cooked amazing green chile burgers which were also fairly cheap. There's also gas and a shop if you need anything. The place itself is nice and we loved the location. It's really in the middle of nowhere and I'm guessing that like us you'll arrive there... More

Datil is a small town, in the middle of lots of space. The people were very welcoming, & thoughtful. The food at the restaurant is quite good. I really enjoyed visiting with the people, & learning @!the history. Rooms are fine, ole timey motel.

I have traveled through Datil several times on my motorbike. I stayed at the Eagle Guest Ranch twice. The rooms are exceptionally clean, beds were comfortable plus plush towels not usually found in a motel at this price. All the workers at this establishment were very friendly and made me feel welcome. The food at the cafe is also very... More

I concur with Frank X's review. I to was traveling in a small motorcycle group. Looking for a place to hang your hat or helmet? This will do. Keep in mind there are only 8 rooms. I suggest you call ahead. Or you may have to stay up the road about 30+ miles and be kicking yourself. There is also... More

After reading about it in TripAdvisor, I rode to the Eagles Guest Ranch and stayed one night while on a motorcycle trip. The place is comfortable, priced right, friendly staff, and away from "people." Remember the TV show "Northern Exposure?" That's what it felt like staying there. The folks there made me feel right at home. The room wasn't fancy... More

We stayed at the RV park behind the restaurant/convenience store/gas station. It was $20 a night for full hook-ups. We only could use electric so it was half. You are really in a dirt lot behind the restaurant. Sits on a "wedge" with roads on either side - but not noisy.Honestly, it looks pretty scary and the only hookup kind... More

We were happy to have come across the Eagle guest ranch on a overland motorcycle adventure. It is the only game in town, but its also very good. Owners, and staff are very welcoming, locals are friendly. Restaurant is excellent; known for their steaks, they age the beef, and hand cut your steaks while you watch. Well stocked salad bar,...
