This European alpine-style property stands out as truly unique amidst its Southwest surroundings--the second you walk in the lobby with its massive stone fireplace and high beamed ceilings, you are transported back in time. The Lodge boasts silver screen guests such as Judy Garland and Clark Gable--and resident ghost Rebecca (after whom the restaurant is named). The staff are very...

We made reservations directly with the lodge for December 19 and December 20, 2014. On the reservations we asked for a ADA room. Not only did we not get a ADA room we were assigned a room on the 2nd floor. (no elevators) The TV set looked like it was out of the 80s or 90s and did not work...

Honestly I drove up here just to see the place but didn't spend the night. We were treated just as courteously as if we had been paying guests. I asked the desk clerk about the bell tower and he immediately handed me the key, giving us an opportunity for a great view. Had some great pumpkin fudge from the gift...

This is one of those places that has an amazing staff and a rich history but not so great otherwise. When I was shown my, "king sweet" it looked like a half of a NYC studio with too much furniture. There was hardly any room to walk around or put my bag down. The room was described as a suite...

For over 100 years, this classic hotel has held a commanding view over Cloudcroft & beyond. The lobby offers a charming gathering spot of comfortable chairs & sofas around a large fireplace, the centerpiece of the Lodge. Immediately adjacent is a nice bar/lounge area and the famous Rebecca's Restaurant, named for the legendary ghost of the hotel. There is also...

First time to real mountains, The Lodge was truly awesome, the restaurant was beautiful, great price for fine dining. The staff was extremely nice, the night attendant at front desk gave me the history and tour of the lodge. I also went to the tower to watch the sun rise over the mountains. This was truly a great experience. Hopefully...

We've been going to the Lodge for many and I'm talking about more than 25 years now. It's always been a warm and welcoming place but this time it was extra special. My husband and I finally decided to tie the knot after a quarter century together and figured ...what better place than the Lodge. With just a couple of...

This is a place I have been visiting since I was a kid. Obviously, if you have seen the photos it looks like some sort of European retreat, which is not very common for NM. It's historic and higher end, so don't expect the cheapest prices. (However, I do remember some promotional packages on their website.) The whole place is...

This large, rustic, railroad era lodge has mostly modernized amenities and was a nice place to stay. At 9000 ft. elevation, the area views are great. Hiking trails are all nearby. The bar is a perfect match to the lodge decor. Gourmet restaurant in the lodge, with excellent food. The King Parlor suite was very nice and exactly as advertised.

The Lodge reminds me of a typical very nice family-run hotel in Europe - built around the end of the 19th century, interesting, attractive, clean and comfortable. I was in room 354 and while there was not a great view from the window the room was very quiet resulting in a good night's sleep for each of the 4 nights...
