Great food fine dining and service. Beautiful location. Owned by Conrad Hilton before chains. Many famous people stayed at the Lodge. Almost 9000 altitude. Only been in spring. Close to Ruidoso. Will visit again.
We have been here a number of times over the years. I have downgraded this place one notch in this review. The hotel is under new ownership and there are a few minor rough spots that need ironing out. We always come here on a...More

Not at all. The A/C is great and there are electrical outlets in more than one place in the room. It is an old hotel of course, built in 1899 but the plumbing and (thank God!) electrical systems are modern. We recharged our iPad, phones, etc. with no trouble beyond having to unplug a lamp on one occasion. By "old" expect quaint, not antiquated!

We stayed in a king room but it didn't have a view of much of anything except beautiful snow out the window. Really loved this place though. Lots of history and even a ghost. The room was adequate size too.
