The hotel is situated on the hillside above the main road to Trongsa in a nice garden, about 1.5km west of town. Our room was large, with two armchairs and a small table, and a small balcony with a nice view of the valley and the Dzong. Electrical heater, comfortable beds with reading lamps, water cooker, tea bags, Nescafé, two...

Pros: spectacular views of the dzong, very good kitchen with varied buffet options at dinner and breakfast, attentive service (at times too attentive- 5 attempts to clear my husbands plate while I was still eating) Cons: overall the resort looks and feels tired and could do with a refurbishment, especially the bedrooms and bathrooms. We were given a twin bedroom...

Stayed here for one night. The best part of our room was the view of the Trongsa dzong from our balcony. The room was clean and comfortable enough, though something seemed wrong with the electricity because one fuse tripped twice. The bathroom was very large and clean. Dinner was very good, breakfast fairly plain. WLAN was temperamental, we ultimately used...

We reached here around 6 pm and it was almost dark by then. And soon, the resort turned into a set of a harry potter movie. Covered by clouds, with dim lights glowing between them....it was simply magical. The staff was great and so was the food. The main attraction is the Trongsa Tzong, which you can see from the...

One of the hotels I always use on my visits to Bhutan. Quiet site, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. Food is pretty good, as tourist menus go. It always amazes me that the tiny Bhutanese girls insist on taking our luggage, even though we're able bodied gals and guys.

I stayed at the Yangkhil Resort in February 2017 and had an extremely enjoyable stay. It was a rather cold night but the room was really comfortable. There was a little balcony which gave excellent views of the dzong. I had dinner with a Bhutanese friend and the dishes were a mixture of Asian and Bhutanese. The dining room was...

We stopped here just for one night before travelling to Bumthang. In the morning we were surprised with the breath taking view. What a treat!!! Can't wait to go back again for a longer stay and practice my yoga with the view.
