Located on a hill, at the center of the village, you can expect good and friendly service. Our room was in the corner with nice view. We liked the breakfast and the diner was ok. Probably the best place to stay on your way trans Bhutan. There is a spa to relax from the shaky road.

Had a wonderful stay in the Wangchuk Hotel on my way back to Thimphu from Trashi Yangtse. The staff were really friendly and I was given a room that overlooked the dzong. The bedroom was really comfortable and warm. I had breakfast and lunch in the hotel and the dining room is pleasant with a nice outside terrace. The room...

This is a comfortable hotel in Mongar. The room was nice and clean, there was hot water, internet, food, and the Druk 11000 was fairly priced. The hotel is right next to downtown, making for nice evening and morning walks. Nothing special, but all totally fine. After having returned from 16 days/15 nights in Bhutan (Samdrup Jongkhar, Trashigang, Autsho/Lhuentse, Mongar,...

The good news is that the hotel has free wifi and you get it in your room. The not so good part is that each piece of equipment you want connected needs a different code which is a bit of a pain. As mentioned the hotel is in a good location to wander around town and see the local sights....

The food and service at this hotel was great! The verandah was a perfect place to have a drink from the bar, even when it was raining. The rooms were well equipped and cosy. The staff were helpful in providing instructions for a nearby walk to a temple on the mountain top. The location made it easy to walk to...

Nice Hotel with a great location right in the centre of town. Walking distance to Mongar Dzong which is a relatively new Dzong built in the 1930's. We had a corner room overlooking the town. Food was nice and staff very friendly. Only stayed for 1 night as this is all that is required when travelling in this region. Wifi...

After an extremely basic stay in Khoma, Lhuntse in a home stay, wangchuk hotel was luxury for us. We stayed there for a couple of nights and enjoyed the stay and food(a little on the oily side) as well. The hotel is majorly managed by female staff and they are excellent in their work. The hotel has wifi but the...

A nice comfortable hotel. Had a nice relaxing massage which was very welcome and relaxing after a long day on the road. Comfortable bed and a quiet nights sleep. Just looking out in bright sunshine and about to walk into the local town for a look round.

Mongar is a small town . However, wangchuk hotel is an oasis of luxury . We first stopped here on our way to Thrumsingla National Park for lunch . The food was great and the ambience was comfortable . We had our lunch on the sun deck. We immediately decided to stay here on our way back . We stayed...

Simple hotel, in desperate need of repairs and maintenance. Nice view on the town. Good food with dinner, very disappointing breakfast. Free Wi-Fi but only in lobby and restaurant. Bathroom doesn’t smell clean (wet towel/ urine). Good bed. At night it is quite noisy outside because of the barking dogs, which continue all night. The first morning when we woke...
