We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel/guest house is very charming and cozy. The room was large with 2 beds , comfy mattress, electric heater, a wood burner, no television, internet in the room, spacious bathroom/shower. Our room was clean, very fluffy towels and we had all meals included. We requested food without curries or spices and the owner did...

Warm and friendly place to stay while visiting the historical, medieval town of Bumthang in Bhutan. This town is well known for being a cultural center and its medieval atmosphere. Kaila's guest house just suitably located near one of its historical lakhan or Budhist temple.

Rooms are well maintained and pretty spacious. The food served was excellent, very cooperative staff and helped us out with the food, especially with our kid. View outside is ordinary compared to what we experienced in other resorts in Bhutan.

Kaila is still my go to hotel in Jakar, the rooms are spotless, well equipped and warm, the bukhari wood burner makes it extra cozy. The food in the restaurant, which has recently been extended, is very good and the ambience is great, a warm and convivial atmosphere. Red Panda beer on draft is an added bonus.

What a fantastic guesthouse! We loved our stay this very charming place. The owner Kaila and his son made sure that our stay was comfortable. We used this guesthouse as a base for a number of day trips to various places of interest, and we were very well looked after. The food was hearty and delicious, we made friends with...

Mr. Kaila's family is very much involved in your stay. They are cooking and serving food, and at the desk. And their care and attention shows. Food was very local and natural including honey from their own beehives. Family is very friendly and helpful. I needed to make an international flight reservation and could not connect on my phone. One...

Upstairs room, cold night and the room heating was great. We used the electric heater, not the wood heater. Bed was large and comfortable. Bathroom was not as clean as it could have been, nor as warm, but hot water worked well. The verandah was a lovely spot to sit and chat and catch up with other guests. We had...

We stayed at Kalia Guest house for five nights and we're delighted to have rooms on the side of the guest house that looked out over the fields and up to the Dzong. It was nice to have a balcony looking over the field. The rooms each have a bakari (wood heater), which we did not need but it would...

Bumthang is easily the prettiest place in Bhutan. Jakar is a charming village and tucked in this beautiful setting is Kailaa guest house- easy on the traveler's pockets, yet providing a safe, warm place, great food and free wifi :) Worth mentioning are - Red Panda available on tap- that I strongly recommend and the gentry the place attracts! Stayed one night. Excellent room at mid-range rates. Good decor, comfortable and clean. The dining was very good. A large troupe had planned an outdoor campfire night and we were a little worried owing to the fact that we had planned an early morning the next day. However, we had nothing to worry. The hotel arranged for the party to...
