On the beautiful Bai Sao Beach is this small hotel, that's highly recommendable for a short stay. During the day the beach-area is full of life, but during night it's so quiet, and there's nothing but the ocean and the stars. Don't expect the staff to be English-speaking, don't expect high levels of service.

Great location right on the beach, so long as you can handle the booming music & crowds all day. Place seems to be run by teenagers (interpret as you will), most of whom don't speak much English, but they were friendly and tried to be helpful as much as possible. The "free" breakfast severely lacking with little selection off a...

The concrete bungalows are really big and spacious, well equipped and v comfy. We came here as we heard about Sao beach being one of the top 10 beaches in the world, and My Lan is right on the shore. Although idyllic in photos, the reality is not the case as the beach is littered with plastic. The various resorts...

Sao beach itself is beautiful but it would have been a better experience without all the trash. Nice sand. The reception staff is nice but bad at english and not so organized. Bad and expensive restaurant. Crowded during day because of day time visitors to the beach, and almost completely empty at night. The place has a good ambition and...

I had an ice Vietnamese coffee that was excellent then a soup that came in a terrine that was simple and delicious. Popular too with the locals who were eating crab. A very laid back kind of a place that is off the beaten track. There are another couple of restaurants but this had the most local clientele. A very...

My Family and I are staying at My Lan Hotel on Phu Quoc island. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, with lots of space, your own front porch to watch the ocean, and a sprayer outside to wash off after a day at the beach. The hotel was a little pricey compared to other places we stayed, although it is a...

Arrival. Didn't find the reception first. But was then led to a small house that apperantly was the reception. The receptionist was sweet and nice. Walked us to our room and told us that breakfast was included and that we also had free sunbeds by the beach. The room was really nice! Big room with all you need. Clean and...

We stayed at My Lan during the off season and payed $60/night for a nice clean and spacious room. Looked far better than the other places along Sao beach. We pretty much had the place to ourselves so the staff were just standing around most of the day looking bored. The gardens around the bungalows were untidy and with lots...

“Don't bother with Beachfront rooms at the extra price the best room is directly behind on the second row back southern end - still has sea views and quieter when the local tours groups are in the bar .”

“There are two types of bungalows. Two old types (w/o aircon) and other are new types (with or w/o aircon). You have to choose new with aircon. No mattresses on beach chairs/beds (heavy hard bed from wood). Few chairs are in shadows.”
