My partner and I felt like we were being pushed to spend money the whole time as soon as we arrived! The minute we sat down we were asked if we wanted to order lunch. They tried to make us take thier airport transfer back to the airport when we asked them to book us a taxi. Taxi should cost... More

We stayed 4 nigths at the resort. The bungalows and the resort are realy nice and clean. As you are in the jungle, you have to expect some animals. We had two gekkos.Best thing is the beach, which we think is the best one on the island. Compared to the mainland, Phu Quoc is expensive. Same can be said about... More

After six exhausting days in Saigon and Hanoi (including trips to Mekong, Chu Chi and Halong Bay), we were really looking forward arriving at Phu Quoc and starting relaxation. We booked the "Jungle Bungalow" for 7 nights in total, though it was not our favourite but due to oocupation of other bungalows we took this one. It is located in... More

This is a fantastic place to take a break from everything. It was my first "Living in jungle" experience, and i loved it. At first i had to get use to all the sounds and gekkos (and many moskitos). But the sounds when you go to sleep is hypnotising. The feeling of taking a shower in the amazing bathrooms under... More

Freedom land has AMAZING food for the evening meal. It's a great atmosphere to eat with the other guests. The suites are really nice with outdoor hammocks. The only downside for us were the price which did not include breakfast (we paid $65 per night - in comparison to other places we have stayed this is more expensive but does... More

I spent three nights at Freedomland in October 2016 and had an amzing stay. The food was delicious (save yourself some space for the dinner, it usually had 6-7 courses...), the staff always super friendly and helpful and the bungalow very spacious and kind of private (there is not directly one bungalow next to another one, always jungle in between).... My Girlfriend and I have been to Freedomland in September 2016. It has been one of the loveliest places we have been to. The Bungalows are beautiful, made of wood and natural stone. You feel like in the middle of the jungle. Everything is very primary but comfortable and clean. The staff is extremely courteous. You can ask for everything,... More

I was really looking forward to write this review because Freedomland has been with no questions the most important place of my whole trip in Vietnam. There is not one single thing I would complain about this place, at Freedomland the imperfection becomes a reason to enjoy even more the experience. It's not for everyone though, so be careful. I... First off I want to be clear that the staff at Freedomland are incredibly kind and efficient. They really work hard and the food is exceptional. However, Freedomland was far from what I expected. The bungalow I stayed in seemed pretty rickety and not very inviting. Since the resort is in the jungle there will be bugs. I don't think... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Freedomland offers an home style hospitality, where you can relax amongst friends you have just met, swapping stories over dinner after a day of adventure exploring the island or a day of total relaxation on the nearby beach. As each day goes by, you will appreciate we are not a hotel. LOCATION: Located 15 minutes walk to Ong Lang beach, nestled in a jungle-like area in the North West of Phu Quoc island. 20Km from the airport (about 45 min. Drive); 10km from the main town (15 min. Drive) BUNGALOWS: We designed our bungalows in harmony with the surrounding environment. They are opened enough to allow air flow, furnished with fans (no A/C), wooden furniture locally made and mosquito nets. There is no tv plasma, no hot water (method Kneipp ;), no hairdryers, no minibar and no air conditioned in our bungalows. FOOD & DRINK: Exclusively for lucky freedomland guests, family and friends every night we cook a communal dinner when everyone has the opportunity to meet, enjoy the food and the ambiance. Peter's cuisine is a skilful blend of vietnamese and European cuisine. All the guests fell in love with the Peter's cooking, and he likes sharing his love for food. ... more   less
