This is a very good resort. Staff are accommodating and helpful and the setting is great. We enjoyed our stay enormously. But the virus has put everything on a difficult trajectory.we will be back and the resort is a walk to Rory’s bar which is great. Great food , drinks and company

After spending a few day at Duong Dong it was nice to get away from the busy part of the island. After reading reviews I could tell that there wouldn’t be much around the resort. Rorys bar is the only spot near the resort and we ended up here a few times over our stay. To be honest it was a little too quiet for my liking but maybe that’s exactly what you are looking for. The staff were friendly and also arranged our bags to the room so we didn’t have to carry them all the way down. If you have any issues with stairs then I would not recommend this place. Rooms were comfortable and clean however I found the lock on the door to be very temperamental and at times didn’t lock it because no matter how many times I tried, it just wouldn’t lock. The food was good, I really enjoyed the Phõ ga. Though it was a bit more pricey than the other side of the island.

Nice pool, nice surrondings, nice cabins, nice food. We had a family villa with sea view. Very relaxing, maybe too quite would some say. Not us, though. We loved it. We were 2 adults and 2 kids (6 and 9 years). Staff was very kind and friendly. Highly recommends.

If you want peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings then this is for you . Bungalows nestled in the hillside amongst the trees. (Very few mosquitoes at this time of year. That’s our experience anyway).jungle behind you and sea in front of you. Spotlessly clean. Very friendly ,helpful staff. Breakfast is really good.we stayed for 3 nights , just right for us .lots of steep steps to get to the top where our room was, ok for young. Fit and those with good mobility. I used to have a little rest half way lol. There are no televisions just gentle music at breakfast. Good bar offering all the drinks and cocktails you’d expect. We loved it.

We wanted to get away from it all, having spent 12 days on the move from north to south Vietnam. It hasn't disappointed us. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bungalows are comfortable and the amenities good. Despite a negative view from one traveller, the pool and beach lagoon (man made) are good and you can go into the sea too. There are resorts with traditional beach front but if you understood the geography of the area you would realise all the detrious from the bay of Thailand ends up on these beaches, so require regular twice daily cleaning. We think the resort is really very nice and a very minor sacrifice to not have an open beach. The food in the restaurant is fine and you can always go further afield by taxi, one other beach bar within walking distance. If you don't want tranquility the fine go elsewhere on the island.
