The pictures of their rooms are not the reality. Ask them to send updated room photos before booking. The room they put us in we refused to stay as it had moldy sealing, smelly cabinets, broken and smelly fridge, rusted and dusty fan, windowless room, and mosquitoes buzzing around. This is suppose to be their “deluxe” room. The front desk eventually agreed to put us in a different room which was an improvement. The staff unfortunately all seem rather depressed. No smiles, no welcoming greetings. The bar area at night is completely dead, no music, no atmosphere, and at 9pm everyone starts packing up, sweeping and cleaning which we took as a sign that we should leave.
Yeah, I got into it with night waitress, bad-reviewed on hotel.com this month, SHAME ON ME as I shouldn't of done that vs. 6 years/20 visits of greatness. Mgr has his staff's backs, that's why employees stay a long time. Highly recommend the family suite; queen bed/bunk beds/small quest room&bed, we all slept comfortable. The beach & water =soft sand/great swim. Pool is kid-friendly (2! shallow areas), parent friendly (tables a few feet! from kids swimming) and adult friendly (great water-chairs to adults to drink, next to bar). And they've greatest security guard (macho Mark-who I bought a USA football jersey for), and front desk (angel Eileen who got family a needed b-day cake)
If you are traveling from Manila to Olongapo-Barretto and searching this on Google you will get many wrong answers. Victoria line has bus from Manila passing Barretto. You do not need to change bus in Olongapo as it says on several places on Google. You can get off the bus on the main street in Barretto. Are you going to a hotel located on the Baloy Long Beach get off the bus at the Angel's burger-Seven eleven. From the Angel Burger in Barretto you can walk or take a motorbike Taxi which costs 20 pesos to Baloy Long Beach. The buses owned by Victoria line leave from Pasay (near the airport) and Sampaloc in Manila. Victoria line has its own website on the internet. When I traveled from Barretto to Manila in December 2019 to Sampaloc the trip cost 236 pesos. The tour took about 6 hours in the middle of the day. It goes faster late at night due to less traffic. If you come from Angeles take the Bus to Olongapo bus terminal with Victoria Line. At the same bus terminal you can switch to the bus that will take you to Barrio Barretto I walked along the entire beach in Baloy Long Beach Barrio Barretto. Treasure Island Resort has the most beautiful outdoor area.Treasure Island Resort is right on the beach. It breathes fresh from the sea where if you sit at the bar by the swimming pool which is open 24 hours a day.The staff at the hotel are nice and helpful. The rooms are nice and just refurbished. I recommend buying rooms online and not directly at the hotel. They are often fully booked in high season oh rooms are cheaper online. If you want cheaper hotel I can mention lagon resort and Viking resort on Baloy Long Beach or the Pub hotel on main street. Barretto. Here you can sometimes get room for less than 1000 pesos a day. If you want to go out in the evening, there are many bars and restaurants on the main street in Barrio Barretto. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from Treasure Island Resort to the main street. If you are unable to walk, take the Motor Bike Taxi for 20 pesos. The most popular bar in Barrio Barretto BarCelona Bar with great views of Subic Bay.cheap beers, friendly staff. The location is at the top of a building with international top standards. They sell San Mig Light beer for only 49.90 pesos per bottle. Unfortunately, the place closes early. it closes at 2 o'clock at night. In the main street of Barretto there are many go go bars (red light district). These are behind closed doors. No one is following you and trying to get you in as you often experience in Thailand. Many of the hotels on the beach offer you the use of swimming pools dems if you spend money in their restaurant. At Treasure Island resort you must spend 300 pesos per person. On the beach there are many offers. You can rent a boat, water scooter, Banana boat, Water skiing, floating bar and scuba diving. I think the place is a great vacation destination for both singles and families who want a cheap seaside holiday in the Philippines.…
Very accommodating staff, food was great. My family and my grand son enjoyed the beauty of the pool and of the beach. the place is beach front, I really enjoyed the stay in this resort, plus the kindness of all the stafff.
The place is a bit old but clean enough. The food is not that yummy, just good enough. Staff are friendly and helpful at all times. The beach has dark fine sand and is not too crowded. The locals are friendly too. Will recommend this for local travelers who are on a budget. We just wanted to have an overnight stay at a beachfront area with a pool for our child and this is what we found since Camayan Beach Resort is full. Not too bad.
Place and room was clean we arrived. Check in was hassle free and staff were courteous. We had a very spacious room!.. I love the idea that they allow pets even inside the room.. The water in the pool was clean and not very chlorinated ..my kids' eyes were not irritated. What I didn't like is the road along Baloy.. we were surprised how bad it is now compared two years ago.. the road had a lot of holes! The water pressure also was weak, a common thing in Baloy..but I appreciated that the resort had water heater! Nevertheless..Baloy is a good place to take a quick break away from the city,
The food here is spectacular especially the Orange Chicken. The room itself was a little tired and amenities not very well maintained. The wifi only worked in common areas and was nonexistent in the room. There was no consistency in room cleaning. Also seemed to get very itchy every time I used the pool. Shower not powerful. Staff were nice.
There are lots of more expensive places on this stretch of beach but this place has a great feel. The bar is right next to the pool which is surrounded by palm trees and overlooks the sand for the perfect sunsets. The staff a very helpful, the bar has USB ports to charge your phone and the menu is to die for! Has a great dive shop and dive master Perfect place to chill between dives either with family or solo. I will be returning
Resort Pros: -Good location since it is beach front -Nice bar and restaurant -Has a swimming pool -Staff Mark and Nicole were the nicest and accommodating of all! Thank you so much guys -Allows pets -Spacious Room (we got a suite room!) -Ocean View Resort Cons: -We booked via booking.com and apparently, they were not able to get the booking so when we arrived, we had to wait for an hour to have it fixed since the resort is already fully booked, the receptionist even ask us "Are you sure you will take the room because I still need to get approval from my boss?" (in my mind, why would you ask us that, we booked it online meaning we're gonna stay there), the receptionist at first was kinda rude but eventually became nice because I had to tell her that she should talk to us properly not in a rude manner which I didn't like at all. If only we had another place to stay in, I wouldn't stay in their resort due to the bad initial experience but it is summer and all resorts are already fully booked. -Room toilet is dirty; has molds and foul smell -Internet connection is really really bad…
This Hotel is sadly run down Pros: - food is delicious and super fast service as well the price is good - beach is clean and no vendors really bother you Cons: - molded bathroom, tirty! - noisy room - no windows and the curtain before the door could be changed - pool is overfilled with filipino kids - hotel excist mostly with retired men, young filipina and whole family's/friends, not like the neighbor hotels.. - loud music Sadly not our thing! The owner could improve the facility a lot with just a few Pesos...
