I stayed here with my family in family room number 122 on 26-28 July 2021. Me and my husband and 5 of our kids planning to have some best time with our family but we truly disappointed with this hotel. I list down terrible experience we had here: 1. I called beforehand to booked, but they said just walk in because they had a plenty of room. We were given family room when arrived, and when the kids check the TV, there were no channel available, then inform the front desk, they said they want to sent person to check. After an hour, we check again and guest what? They just inform us that TV was broken!! And that was it! 2. The room cost us $200++ including breakfast, and should be served at 7.00am,unfortunately the restaurant don't even open at 7.05am and nobody inform us anything eventhough the staff around and saw us waiting in front of restaurant from 6.45 am. When we asked, then only they switch on the light and asked us to order. Gosh!! 3. The most terrible experience was when on the second day, our room room is fill with smoke of cigarette come from bathroom. I CAN'T TOLERATE THIS!! We hate smokers and never let our kids smell this "*£#&! We complain to front desk but there was no action. I got migraine, my kids had to smell this cigarette for hours!! We complain again and they just come in and spray febreze!! What a waste of money and time. And we never come here again!! Never!!…
Have in this Hotel for 14 days in isolation prior to be allowed moving free in Brunei. The Hotel is truly nothing more than 3 stars, and rooms really needs to be maintained. Regardless the fact that me and many other guests have been segregated in the rooms without housekeeping, my room was NOT cleaned from the beginning, especially the floor which is covered by moquette which has probably seen the Hoover decades ago. The water is rusty, and you can only have a very limited amount of hot water. Food was acceptable, cannot be evaluated since we were getting room service only in some plastic containers, thus food was basically always cold! Service is nice, always prompt response and very very gentle. Location in general is not bad!
Star Lodge Hotel is one of the best choice of hotels accomodation located in a strategic location in Jerudong,Brunei. Its our first experience staying overnite at an affordable rate & served by excellent & lovely room decorations by the staff. Its my surprising gifts for my family on their birthdays ; Wife & 3 kids. We had a small family gathering & Doa kesyukururan at the Star Lodge Restaurant hall with excellent taste of food, served by nice & friendly staff & good entertainment facilities. The hotel is provided with enclosed swimming pool that suits multiple age of people to relax. The cleanliness is very good & the wifi connection is excellent. The environment includes lift facilities that has the musics entertainment making the surroundings fell comfort & friendly. I saw many clients stayed in the hotel noticing all car parks were full during the nite. I loved staying there & plan to have another function in the near future. Thank you for all the services provided especially to Ahmad Azim & friend, Star Lodge staffs who provide me all his best service though he was on leave. Thank You…
Please don't be fool by the pictures. This is a 3 star lodge for a cheap price and you will get what you paid. All previous reviews by other visitors is completely wrong and the staff are not friendly, including but not limited to Restaurant Staff where they will charge you for even an extra tea bag. A limited food in the daily breakfast buffet no change in the menu. Service staff is not attentive. Rooms are horrible, very low pressure water, dirty bathroom and rooms too. We wiil not RECOMMEND to any traveller to stay for more than ONE night. Far from City area and other attractions. Front desk female staff is not helpful nor resourceful, and they don't care. And they will ask each and every guest to give a good review of the hotel right there at the front desk before chicking out since they have a bar code right middle of front desk, a near by computer and also in other places. Overall a very BAD experience.............…
Located in an isolated location so if you are a city person this is definitely not for you. The rooms here are clean, spacious and comfortable but the hotel really needs to be refurbished! TV channels are limited. The breakfast buffet selection was mediocre and minimal as well as their ala carte menu. The staff are attentive and accommodating especially Nadia, Shafiq, and Muiz. I highly recommend this place for a quiet vacation. Regardless of all the downs... the most important thing is that all the staff serve their guests with warm hospitality.
Cheap and good hotel.service is good.staffs is helpful.room is comfortable.they have a big swimming pool on the ground floor rooms.try to book the rooms at the upper side because on the ground floor might be noisy with people swimming.jerudong park is just few minutes away.hotel have shuttle to send you there.breakfast is fairly good but a lot more varieties might be better.i always eat at the reataurant on the menu and its cheap and delicious.
The breakfast buffet is very dissapointing. Food serve is white rice, 2 type of vegetable, mee goreng and sausages. Other station is scramble egg and baked beans, then there is chicken soup, poridge and cereals. 2 type of breads, salads and fruits. thats it. Should add more breads, more foods such as chicken, nasi goreng, mee goreng, pasta, cakes, etc. sorry but the price for the breakfast is not worth it compare to other hotels, cheaper but more variety of foods serve
Stayed in Starlodge for a weekend for an ASEAN teachers' conference. The facilities are quite basic but they are sufficient if you have a short stay. The concierge was very helpful, they arranged for free two-way transport to MacDonald's at night for us. The staff there is very friendly as well.
I stayed for 3 Nights at the recommendation of local travel agency. The hotel is cosy enviroment suits me. But realise one thing they are lacking is hospitality amd manners. I have been to some 1 star rated hotel but the staff are proactive and make uou feels at home. Here at Star Lodge, the ataff seems to be busy with their own world. They make you feels you arw not welcone here. No coordination with inter department when you request for assistance. Otherwise everything is ok for me. Given a choice I would rather be a place where I am welcome. Not asking for the sky but at leastyou know what SETVICE EXCELLENCE IN HOSPITALITY Business means.
I was in Brunei for 4 days and checked into Star Lodge. This is a simple motel which provides a spacious and clean room for a no-fuss stay. The amenities provided does not include shower gel which i find puzzling. I had to grab some from a local departmental store. While breakfast is served, it is a simple fare which is repetitive. We had to skip breakfast on the 3rd day as we got too tired of it. There is a pool which is fantastic. A small pool but it was enough for a short swim to start the day and end the day right. Starlodge is a good place to stay if you are on a business trip and are on a (small) budget.
