The booking.com website is ambiguous so beware. Preferably book direct. Being at the vottom of The Bainskloof Pass is very convenient and has fantastic views and worth the effort to go up one side and down into Ceres at the other side. The 'onsite restaurant is OK and means you don't have to travel out from the accommodation but it's...

Dear guest Thank you for the time and kind words about Oude Wellington. I will forward the word of advise to the restaurateurs about their efficiency. I can only recommend the drive over Bainskloof pass, which was virtually hand build and with the use of black-powder. Remarkably the pass road over very steep terrain cost very little human lives as...

We came for friends of ours wedding close by and could have a lovely breakfast and swim the next morning. The breakfast was a buffet with lots of variety and we sat outside the manor house with our friends. Thank you, we felt very welcome and the farm style cottage room was great!

Good location with a great view on the mountains. At a clear night you can so many stars, it was amazing. The owner is very friendly and helps you to make you feel like home. We liked the decoration is the rooms, only missed an air conditioning. I hope he will install one. All together it deserves a 5/5

Dear Mahlegrand Thank you for your time and effort to evaluate and share your opinion about Oude Wellington. You stayed in one of our budget rooms that have no aircon. In order to keep prices affordable I decided against airconditioners in the budget rooms and had rather opted for fans in these rooms. Our luxury rooms however all have air-conditioners....

This is a working farm so it has that added charm of ducks, chickens, ostrich, al pacas, and wine grapes! Great friendly staff and breakfast...nice to have a pool to cool off on a hot day. Could use a little sprucing up but lovely spot to stay. As an added bonus the restaurant on the property is absolutely outstanding in...

Dear Don Thank you for taking the time to write a review about Oude Wellington. It is the busy time of the year and the workload of the staff is quite challenging, but friendly compliments like yours make the task so much more rewarding. Secluded and very quiet. Wonderful view that greeted me in the morning. Breakfast was prepared personally by the wine farms farmer which I appreciated. One critic is that sound travels very easily through the rooms.

Dear Darrin It was a pleasure to have you stay on Oude Wellington. Thank you for liking our breakfast and the surrounding. It is indeed a peaceful place but with nature connected. The room you had booked is one of the budget rooms and the insulation is poor in that building. Try one of the luxury rooms in the farmhouse...

We drove down this rather narrow road for some time and then found the Oude Wellington Estate. Nothing remarkable, but looked very authentic and rustic. Our room was comfortable, we had planned to go into Worcester to have dinner but decided to try the restaurant on the Estate. Well what a restaurant, run by a husband and wife team, who...

Our room was in the original building with 1795 above the door. The tile floor and thatched roof added to the charm. The room was clean and comfortable. Our host was most gracious and atmosphere was charming. The restaurant was fantastic and drew us back for a two nights in a row. The chef has an original touch.

I was booked through our company travel agent at this establishment. When I got there the room I was given was terrible. Old and dirty and the thatched roof debris was all over the bed. Dear guest A full DSTV premium with all the sport channels is in the lounge and additionally the mentioned basic 31 channels in the rooms and cottages.
