We stayed one night at Braeside, we were warmly welcomed on arrival, the rooms were lovely and comfortable, it was a cold night and the electric blankets had been turned on for us which was lovely. The bathrooms need updating however it's been newly acquired and I believe work is in progress. Extra effort had been made for us at...

Having had wonderful experiences in various accomodations (most of them B&B's) during an extended family holiday with three adult children, this was one of the best. Comfortable rooms, a beautifully decorated house with numerous items to admire, a nice pool, a large garden with Guinea Fowls, very friendly and helpful hosts, and an excellent breakfast added to an extremely enjoyable...

This charming guest house is situated a short walk from the town centre amenities and restaurants. The hosts Amanda and Walter were very welcoming and helpful, managing to get us a last minute booking at a popular local restaurant. The room was very comfortable and spacious, although the bathroom was quite small and the shower needed updating. The pool area...

It was in a very quiet location but within easy SAFE walking distance of the restaurants. The staff were very helpful, made us a restaurant booking and generally made our stay there very welcoming. Breakfast was lovely....

Breakfast was served outside and staff was very friendly and helpfull. Location is great, so close to restaurants and city center. Amanda and Walter kindly made the reservation for the dinner...

The house haa been renovated after our last visit and looked good. Rooms were still very much same and unique. Area is very good, walking distance to the restaurant and village itself. Charming little village with some beautiful buildings. We like the place to stay over the night there or few nights and recommend the Breadside!

We stayed at Braeside for just one night, en route to Cape Town airport. It was an ideal stop-off. Hosts Amanda and Walter were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was most impressive. Fresh fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt, meats and cheeses, home-made muffins as well as a cooked breakfast if you wanted it. This accommodation is a fairly short...

This is very much a bed and breakfast type place. This is an old house with lots of beautiful furniture and interesting touches; I think they have about 9 guest rooms. The rooms themselves aren't modern and have what I would call "rustic charm" - there was an AC in our room though. There is a small pool in the...

“We had the smallest safari room and to be quite frank, it was really nice and more than adequate. Nothing lacking in it at all. It had a double bed and of course, if you want a bigger bed, you wouldn't book this room, but for us it was great.”
